The crazy thing is that Katherine Parr actually got really close to being beheaded herself. A lot of members of Henry's court were dead set on bringing her down. Its honestly a miracle she even survived

Something they do here which is so clever, when they do their parts over each other is when Henry was seeing them at the same time. He was trying to marry Anne even before he had left Catherine, Jane had caught his eye before he ordered Anne to be beheaded, there was a several year gap between Jane and Anne of Cleaves whilst he mourned Jane, he married Catherine Howard less than ten days after his annulment with Anne and there was a two year gap between Catherine Howard and Catherine Parr. Absolute genius.

Hear me out: The end of the song, “we’re six” sounds a lot like “we’re sick” and it does in every performance. Unplanned or not, they also line up for the first time out of order and all with their arms raised as does the final wife during her song. This can all be a metaphor to the wives being ‘sick’ and tired of being seen as just wives and their story untold, they’re more than that and that’s exactly what each sings shows. Also I think this might be their best performance with the highest quality.
