Six Flags Great Adventure | Park Update | August 2022

I used to go to this Six Flags as a kid in the 80's and a teen in the 90's, the entire atmosphere has changed so much, I remember the BK right before you reach the park used to be so packed with lines and families left right and center, the people were so excited talking about what rides they wanted to get on and what the plan for the day was, it was such excitement, the entire Looney Tunes character would come out and be swarmed people of all ages, the park was divided with a kids section and the rest was adults and teen but we all went on everything as long as we fulfilled the requirements, people were also well behaved and respected the lines, these days people just lard around take photos, talk way less, look more unhappy and bothered, its just never going to be the same again

The skyride was closed my one and only visit - the Tuesday after Labor Day last year. Was a bummer. But besides that and Toro, everything else that started off closed eventually opened.

Look for Mr. Six, Little Six, and his bus, dancing around in the park to the theme which is “We Like to Party” by the Vengaboys.

I went there on the 26 and 27 for my first time and I’m from NY so I’m really sad el toro was closed but I actually talked to someone that was on the ride when the incident happened they said that when they were going by the first turn there was a large bump that felt like it broke their back but they were ok.

im going to great adventure on friday. i was looking foward to el toro because i didnt ride it the last time i wnt but now that its closed im very disapointed

I live about 20 mins away from this park and I honestly NEVER go. Its just SO expensive. I go to other parks!

I started going there since the 80's, its so different today, the thrill is still experienced on the rides but the overall atmosphere is very dismal, people today just look so aggravated, cocky, self-centered, narcissistic disorders, and unpleasant, I miss my 80's and 90's era

IF the 2nd quarter numbers were bad I can't imagine what the 3rd quarter is going to bring. SFMM is my home park and crowds are non existent weekdays or weekends. Yes it's crazy hot in Valencia but it was just as hot last summer and the park was packed.

Yep and you can only blame inflation and gas prices so much…

I agree the price increase. I do not like how it seems like the smaller parks always seem to get forgotten about. Such as Frontier City in OKC. They need a CEO that actually cares about adding to the smaller parks and not just raising the prices.

@@AJFuentes37 I went last week. Got on two rides and walked around the park. I could of went on more than two because the park was empty but I still decided I didn't feel like it. That says a lot about the park. Major changes need to be made. I've been going there every year for over 20+ years.

@@unknown183 I went there in the 80's and 90's it was a BLAST!!! Today's people are just too narcissistic, unpleasant, and self-centered looking for a photo opportunity at every given moment, the attitudes are just unhuman

I guess I'm the only one enjoying the price increase, more rides for me! I still have a member's badge that's why. Plus I need to enjoy it as much as I can this year because by next year SFGADV won't be my home park anymore.
