La salles adventure,Runaway mine train, the log ride, the antique cars, the cable car ride, skull island, the old tree slide, the big orange tower(with the slide),the spindle top and many many more fun rides! Thank you for sharing the video!

HUGE Six Flags Over Texas fan for atleast 30 years! great video of the Skull slides, burro rides and what looked like La Salle's River Boats. And, what's kinda sad is just noticed the huge overhang they just got rid of this past year when they revamped the U.S.A. Food Court. didn't realize it was there since the beginning.

Cool video seeing how the park opened on August 5, 1961. One of the earliest videos I have seen of the park. Thanks

Yes, that is the La Salle River Boat ride (minus any vegetation) in the movie. FYI: The ride may not be there any longer at Six Flags, but you can still ride the SAME boats over in Jefferson Texas. The owner runs river boat tours, using these boats, as they have been modified somewhat to operate on their own power.

Before the steam Train that rode on the perimeter of the Park, there was a Stagecoach ride. I took it in I think '62 or '63, before the train. The Stagecoach went all around the perimeter of the park. Just thought I'd add that. Oh, and also, there was a helicopter ride, because my dad and I took that, too.

Man I would trade in all the roller coaster and everything this looks so much funner than six flags today

You should send this to them so they can broadcast it on those tvs they have on all of the rides--that would be cool!

I'm talking about back when Six Flags was a more all-around park that everyone could enjoy.

It doesn't look to different from my very first memory, back in the mid 60s. Way back before it became the commercial and corporate conglomerate that it is today.

What the hell happened to all of the family rides at Six Flags these days?

What are you talking about?

Perhaps for you. I feel it's lost a lot of its uniqueness.

The people who think this is better than what it is now can't ever be happy with what they have, you guys should watch Midnight in Paris and learn something
