As someone who is a fan of 1980s arcade games like Pac-Man, I did not know a theme park section dedicated to the game even existed. 🕹

The Pac-Man walkarounds wouldn't have been so bad had they not had those awful googly eyes. They look like something out of a Sid and Marty Kroft show. Very H.R. Puffenstuff design.

I imagine that's not by coincidence -- the Kroffts had puppet shows in Six Flags Over Texas, and in the 70s many of their TV characters also roamed the park.

I found out about this years ago while on a school trip to Six Flags. There were a bunch of signs informing about the park's history, including one about Pac-Man Land.

I found this super interesting, but DAMN DUDE - watch your sound balance! _Every time_ you throw to a commercial, the volume goes up to "ears must die" levels. I'm sorry man, but that's not cool. Again, the work on the video, and the topic of Pac Man Land? TOTALLY cool. The execution? _Please tighten it up a bit;_ headphone users everywhere *will* thank you 😄

Yeah, I think I’m gonna try and start editing with headphones on for that reason. My hearing isn’t as good as the average person’s, so that plays a factor, but I do think the balancing was a bit off here compared to some of my other work. Appreciate the comment, definitely something I’ll pay more attention to.

Did Jack Pentas claim in the article that he was was behind soft play for kids? I have been reflecting on the change of playgrounds during my childhood. I would like to find the article but it isn't coming up for me. Great videos btw!

It's strange theme parks we're owned by railroads. Frontier Village in San Jose was owned by the Rio Grande then Six Flags was owned by the Pennsylvania Railroad evan after they Merged with the New York Central becoming The Penn Central? Should Six Flags at the time be bought by a local or any of the west coast railroads since Six Flags Co. is in Texas? The PRR is a Midwest and East Coast Railroad. What's wrong with buying Kennywood, or Kennywood Entertainment Company, Pennsy? I wonder who owned the Busch Gardens Parks? The Virginian!?
