Great stuff, David. "You don't want it to sound like a typewriter" may be the best description for overplaying I've ever heard. There are far too many typists in the guitar community. I've never really understood how to incorporate anything beyond the occasional major pentatonic lick into my (very meager) blues playing. This "swing scale" opens up the sounds I've always been seeking and never understood where they were coming from. There's such a cool elegance to these lines. Thanks - much appreciation, and please keep up the great work.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, and I'm glad you find the lessons interesting! It's tricky to get the balance of words and notes right, and to get the concepts across in the most efficient way possible. Lucky for you, if it gets to verbose, you can always just click "pause" :-).
