Interesting interview, a lot of people don't know about the straight route into a PhD from a BSc and such. The UK I know require a 1:1 Hons Bachelors. So inspiring!

it all depends on experience in research. the reason masters student have more of a chance is cos they have done 2 thesis where as you have from bachelors

@@BestmanAcademy Oh alright Doc, thanks so much for your response. I hope you're doing great? So, he replied to my cold email, saying that he was accepting new students and I was welcome to apply. Now, at the time My friend advised me to take the GRE before the application window closed, to give me an edge. But it was kinda late already. This was in November/December last year. And it was my first/only attempt at sending out a cold email.
