Honestly from how the show shows it, Hannah's so insecure about her own femininity that it's making her hyper aware of a man's "masculinity" like she needs a man so stereotypically masculine to overcompensate for what she thinks is a lack of femininity... and she's just verbally abusive I feel so bad for him edit: rewatching this and nah besides one guy none of these men are good. You got a contingent feminist, a lying deadbeat, a manipulative cheater, and a controlling verbal abuser. im only 8 mins in and i think you're missing crucial context about DC culture. most people in the DMV are careerists, so dating takes a backseat fairly often; it's not super surprising that the cast is older. also, as such, it's not hard to find slimy, selfish people. DC is not known for friendly, personable, caring people. (i say this as someone who grew up in the area). semi-related, i feel like in so many of the videos nowadays you have much more negative sentiment towards the women and more favorable towards the men especially/even when the men in these shows suck and it really rubs me the wrong way. i still watch bc i love your videos overall but it does make my stomach clench. i'd be devastated if you started giving in more to reactionary sentiments and became universally more favorable towards the men than the women rather than judging each individually. I'm 5'3" and my boyfriends got me beat by an inch or 2... but neither of us care. Idk who needs to hear this, but his masculinity is fully intact! It's not that miraculous! Not every man will feel emasculated if their partner is not shorter/smaller than them. Love watching innocent Leo who comments on sperm donation before he finds out the real story 🤣Never forget, if something happens in a reality show that hasn't yet ended, it WILL ALWAYS get worse LOL (for anyone not in the know: some of those kids were conceived the traditional way AFTER the lesbian couple broke up lol)

The height thing is so stupid to me 🙄 My best friend and I are both taller women (both 5'8) and both of our husbands are on the shorter side. My husband is 5'9 and her husband is 5'7. It never occurred to me to care about my husband's height. A great guy is a great guy regardless of height 🤷♀️

The whole "sperm donor" thing was debunked in the reunion and, if you look on social media, the baby mama talked about how this lying man was actively involved in his kids' lives and played the role of a father up until he went on the show, at which point he deleted all photos of them off his socials and denied any connection with them. He's not just a sperm donor.

in answer to your question - a woman does not go to her friends cool with her good man, get told "you should leave your good man," and obey them. a woman goes to her friends with already existing doubts to get their feedback. it comes partly from insecurity and self doubt, and partly from self image and shame. if you feel like an asshole for wanting to leave your partner because you're generally unhappy and not because they're a monster, you might A. seek validation from somebody that you _know_ will say "you deserve better! we will help you move out!" and B. later say "my friends said xyz!" i don't necessarily judge a person who does that, but it's obviously misleading and has left a lot of people under the impression that the softest bambis on earth are being robbed of girlfriends by evil women. that's not the case. this conversation is a symptom of an existing problem.

Ramses problem was that he just wasn't ready to get married. I don't know what he thought this show was about, but then it started to get real and he got scared. It bugs me that when Leo talks about the passing of all his family, he immediately just ties it into money. Kind of adding to what you said, he doesnt discuss them in a very respectful way, or talks about how he misses them or loved them. My guess is he has Narcissistic Personality Disorder and actually doesnt know how to form a genuine deep bond. It's like he 'knows' people shouldnt love him for his money- but maybe thats the only thing that has made him feel seen or heard or valuable as a person. And he probably learned that from his parents and upbringing. I bet his family valued money or work over relationships and it shows- its very unfortunate. Its just a repetitive cycle if he decides to have kids.
@ladylarry75Ай бұрын
The guy who donated sperm to help a friend make a baby... there is SO MUCH more to that. only the first one was a sperm donation, the other children were conceived the 'traditional way', he and his mother spent time trying to scrub the internet of any evidence of the children, but not very well because there were plenty of photos, including ones with 'best dad' t-shirts, he was far more involved than let on, and allegedly the mother is suing him for unpaid child support. He also could have mentioned these children in the pods, but didn't, if it was just an innocent sperm donation and nothing more why not just mention it in the pods?

1:31:42 I can’t speak for men, and I can’t speak for tall women (I’m 5’2) but I think it could perhaps be that a lot of women want to feel dainty and feminine and being taller than your partner might damage that feeling. It shouldn’t, but you know how it goes… Short Kings, fear not-the right person won’t worry about it.

Only from my personal experience, as a big n' tall woman, some guys are very bothered by my size. I've received insults completely unprompted, and every time it felt like my existence was an offence to their masculinity. But its nice to be the bodyguard friend to girls of average size!
@Sabah_Taj22 күн бұрын
@ My theory definitely applies both ways: a lot of men seem to want to feel like the “big, strong protector” and statuesque women may damage that feeling. It definitely shouldn’t. Again, the right person won’t worry about it. 🤍

I really enjoy having your deep dives play in the background while I study. I’ve been doing this the entire length of my program, so now that I’m getting ready to graduate and taking practice boards, I’ve noticed that when I’m studying for labor and delivery random moments from your Cole and Zeneb deep dive pop into my head - and I can already tell I’ll be thinking of your recaps of this crew any time I’m reviewing med surg 2 material for the next couple of months until I take the boards. The human brain is wild. Also, I think you’re a little hard on Brittney. She’s fully transparent about her relationship goals, not trying to bait and switch, and I find that admirable in spite of how it makes her sound. Also, I think it’s telling that all the girls in the pods like(d) her. So while she may be referring to herself as a trophy wife, and that can sound obnoxious - there’s something likable about her that makes me not care. She seems kind, so to me it doesn’t matter if she wants to be a trophy wife. And the other thing I noticed about this season that sort of aggravated me… I’m not even a sports fan and just by marital osmosis I know that Nicky D is the appropriate size and build for a kicker. By saying he’s a kicker he’s letting everyone know he’s not built like a football player - Katie knew it too (the one that worked for the Baltimore Ravens). The Henry Cavill comment was ridiculous but I got the same vibes as you, that he’s a good guy. I think he was just fucking around but that didn’t translate from behind the wall? 🤷🏻♀️ Anywho, I think this is the third time I’ve ever commented on KZbin; this has been a fun little procrastination break - thanks for the content!
