Massive ABs fan. I love South Africa Rugby and a country. The joy, everything. South Afirca holds a special part of my life personally. As I was helped by a SA counselor in NZ for my mental health. Good luck this week. You guys have been the benchmark of world rugby.

For years coaches had to be forced to transform the make up of there teams. The Springboks is a success story for affirmative action.
@myshepspud12 ай бұрын
So so. Give your plaudits to the legendary players that propped it up until the schools provided enough. To Rassie winning then being allowed to integrate on merit. Nothing to do with government work "affirmative action". What a dirty hidden institutionally racist set of words. The biggest irony was most of the affirmative work in conjunction with being world best (where is affirmative action with success in Bafana?) was done by white people for the game they love on behalf of a majority of the population not even yet into rugby until they were. Bok Fridays all of that.

If the players are selected on merit why the need for quotas?
@mickeymouse-xr9gy2 ай бұрын
@@wlk2408 I do not believe that merit alone is the criteria for Bok selection. Tyrone Green anyone.....
@davidadshade29272 ай бұрын
@@mickeymouse-xr9gy I don't believe that one player not getting selected, who happens to be on form right now, is proof of anything. Is Nohamba not getting selected proof of anything? Green plays in England, which is a pain. Would he have been available for the Wales game?
@mickeymouse-xr9gy2 ай бұрын
@@davidadshade2927 Green has been playing sensational rugby for a few years. Plenty of white players have been I could list them here but it won't change you view. It's a farce. It's all well and good winning WCs. Once things go pear shaped like in cricket in SA then the post mortem will take place. It's great to see the game of rugby growing and seeing players of color come through on merit but selecting on the basis of race was always wrong and should be wrong post 1994. You cannot have a race based quota system(which is what we have) and still talk about merit. They are mutually exclusive. Dweba was a quota selection as is Moerat, Orrie andHendrickse to name but a few.Time for the farce to end.

While I understand why some people supported the AB's in the past considering our history, but sheesh it's been 30 years.
