I know exactly how she felt. I got up the nerve to try on one dress when I was getting married, only to have the attendant tell me in front of a group, that nothing will look good and I needed to just get the only one they had in my size. I was devastated. I never shopped again for a dress, my mom ended up making my dress, it was beautiful. My son got married a few years ago, I ordered my dress on line. I love how they didn't make this bride walk out into the main shop, but they kept it very private for her as well. Great job everyone.

It's not to say that her mom was not supportive; maybe she did not have good depth perception. I also can't size someone up, in fact I can't size anything up; I always choose a container too small for leftovers, I still have to fold away the side mirror of my car when I reverse at my parent's home (where I have grown up), to ensure that I don't rip it off against the gate (after more than 30 years driving), I always misjudge the doorway, resulting in bruises ... Really, we don't do it on purpose.

I think that, also, because she is so tall, she carries her weight regally. She really is a stunning woman.
