Yea for many years they only went up to a 16-18 and only offered a few selections that were kinda mundane. But it seems like they finally expanded to 18-24. They still dont have a lot of options but better than what they did have.

It also helped that she knew enough to have a larger budget for a great dress - especially when you are not a "standard" size, to get something that actually FITS from the start, ya gotta bring the $$$, unfortunately.

the first half of this video should be shown to every person who’s going to help a bride find her dress. Both friends continually re-centered the discussion on how the bride felt in the dress, helped her clarify those thoughts by echoing them back to her as questions and keeping opinions honest but brief and always in response to what she was expressing. You can put someone into the dress you think is perfect for them but if they don’t feel right in it, no matter how perfect it is, it won’t look right on them.

The second bride said she didn't want to be pulling the dress up all night. If you don't want to worry about that, get a dress with STRAPS!! I don't understand why they insist on putting the huge majority of the brides in strapless dresses. And not even referring to larger sizes; a lot of skinny women spend so much time hiking their dress up all the time, and the dresses look like they're slipping down anyway. Plus, with a larger bust like some have, I would never, ever be comfortable without straps, just for my own peace of mind! That said, Katie definitely picked the best of the 3 dresses! If she wanted to look "floaty", the uneven tiers with the pointy hems on them is perfect! I really did like it better with the thinner belt they put on her at first, but any kind of belt really did flatter her.

Sarah was the perfect consultant to help Katie. She's young and fun loving and totally understood what the bride was looking for. I can't see any of the other consultants clicking as well with Katie as Sarah did. The friends were awesome too. They weren't overbearing or negative and offered their opinions in a respectful, non-critical manner. This is one of the best appointments I've seen in a long time.
