I have just literally bought this camera from Amazon which arrived today. It was to replace my functional but 'behind the times' Kitvision Edge 10W. As an 'oldie' with disabilities, the most I usually do is drag the action cam through rock poles and lakes on a selfie stick, or pan across scenic stuff. Great review. On another note: the battery. Hopefully you have found out by now you need to run the battery a few times to get it to an optimal lasting length. With my Kitvision I was finding I was lucky if it lasted between half and hour to 40 minutes. I then discovered if I left it charging overnight even after the light said fully charged; it went onto a trickle charge and then would last and hour and a half. Quite a difference.

I have both the SJ Cam Legend 6 (5 months( and the Go Pro Hero 5 (4 months) Simple fact is I will never buy a Go Pro product again. The SJCam has had a hard life including having the back screen smashed when I dropped it. (it still works) - The Go Pro has been treated gently like a spoiled child and the LED screen does not work at all, just stopped. Makes the dam thing so awkward to use. Also just did a side by side comparison with the two and the color on the SJ Cam was much better, the sound on the SJ Cam was much better. Considering the price difference there should only be one choice!

Hi Vikas you said in your review that the camera won't support any other type of mike, on the SJCAM forum, one of the members has used a Go-Pro to 3.5 audio jack conversion lead from Ebay which allowed him to use any mike with a 3.5 jack connection.

The original SJ4000 is still a legendary camera. It costs half the price of the SJ6. I've added external mic support to my SJ4000 and I don't think there is any better camera at the price.

I have sj but I am not a big fan of it. it doesn't have wide angle lens like gopro. it doesn't have voice clarity like gopro. it doesn't have battery life like gopro. on my every ride sj disappointed me. thanks for the good review. ☺

A for Ashish but on paper it should be 166° angle view which means very wide causw the gopro is around 157° ?? are you using it with the gyro always on or off ? when it's off you will get a much wider view

Hi Vikas. Can i know if this camera mount can take riding speeds up to 200km/h? The mic is actually good as in sensitive. But far too sensitive that the sound starts to break. Are the night shots done with the same camera? It looks pretty bad. But some other reviewers shown the night shots are better.
