Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 | 2024 Westward Bound Tour Day 1 - Chase from Pulga to McClellan

On July 11th, 2024, Union Pacific's Big Boy 4014 has departed out of Portola for Roseville on their final leg of its journey of their "Westward Bound Tour" before they start making their way back east on July 14th.
On this day, we chase the train from Pulga, CA, located on the westernmost portion of the Feather River Canyon to McClellan, CA with stops in James, Kramm, Oroville (west of the whistle stop location), and McClellan. Trailing on the train to provide dynamic braking was UP 1983, the Western Pacific Heritage Unit. Supposedly they wanted to have this very locomotive for something historical, which was very fitting for this occasion as they were heading down the WP Feather River Route!
