Let me explain something. Inequality is freedom, you're free to be as unequal or equal as you want, you can make it to the top with hard work and a bit of luck, or you can be lazy or be unlucky and be forever stuck at the bottom, this is a meritocracy, there will always be winners and losers just like in nature. If the government comes along and puts in measures to make everybody equal that isn't freedom, that is a prison.

Wow, the comments didn’t go well. Okay,.. here’s the thing.. If we aren’t focusing on hiring people based on competency, then that’s no difference than some ‘white man from privilege’ getting a job because of his contacts when he isn’t as qualified as someone who doesn’t. Critical race theory brands those who are racist who aren’t white as being NOT racist,.. so 1) one is approving racism and 2) one is discriminatory against race in determining this .. which is the true definition of racism 3) you are preventing people from calling out racism that doesn’t fit your profile .. that’s racism 4) it is giving people a warped view of how they should behave, this is radicalising people into action based upon a faulty premise 5) it perpetuates division and hostility All of that goes to increasing the racism not tackle it, which has been demonstrated in the wake of BLM activism… the most verbal abuse and condemnation black people have faced in a long time just because they found BLM ideology didn’t represent them Anyone who promotes CRT gets a red flag 🚩

@steve105 ай бұрын
you don't really know what you are talking about. If you are good enough for the job you will get it , regardless of colour in 2024 companies will be called out if they only employ white people, in fact white men are proportionately less likely to get a job over a poc because of DEI , so with DEI , no one ever knows 100% if they are capable of the job or chosen for a quota, if you got rid of DEI , then companies will hire the best person for the job regardless of race. It's called meritocracy, and is the only way a country will thrive, hence why Britain is failing. Capitalism is the basis of every western country, its why you have what you have in life , if you believe in DEI and communism and Marxism, then everything collapses. Listening to you speak I dont think you understand. You don't really understand critical race theory, or the Tavistock clinic which was brought up because of the gender scandal, nothing to do with race. Labelling people racist , when they have facts to back up their statement is a cop out , its why the country is in the mess its in.
@FlipLifeMedia5 ай бұрын
There are people good enough for jobs of all races and identities. So argument doesn't work. You are wildly deluded if you think "white men are proportionately less likely to get a job" because of a few diversity rolls here and there. Honestly get over your emotions and just go and get a job.
@FlipLifeMedia5 ай бұрын
I am aware the Tavistock issue is about gender identity, but she made generic statements to DEI roles which covers race and all of these conversations. So she is attacking it all. Also her campaign content was more openly about race, talking about a "colour blind society". Bid red flag!

I'm going to say it once again, since it doesn't appear to have worked the first time around: How can you not see that placing priority of diversity roles over that of necessary, skillful roles is wrong? It's already illegal to hire or promote based upon race or sex (we can argue over whether that works in practice and that's fine) but it means that that £500 million is a wasted investment: you are in essence, asking for the taxpayer to finance something that is not actionable in law. Change the dynamics a little and imagine it was a discussion over the police or the army: would you say that it would be good idea to recruit or promote officers based upon inherent characteristics over strength, stamina or strategic skill? The answer (hopefully) is no, because there is no country on the face of the earth where politicising the police or the army- last of all on matters pertaining to race and sex- has been a good idea. The same should apply to employment in healthcare. Finally, no, CRT is not "people talking about racism". If the course Miss Gallagher had been on had actually been a discussion as to why black women d*ed more often in maternity wards, such as you referenced, it might have been worthwhile. As it was, it was ideologically driven, wasn't research-based, wasn't peer-reviewed and wasn't conducted as a debate. It was, in short, our healthcare system (somewhat ironically) being unscientific, as well as political. Again, you shouldn't want the taxpayer to finance this, irrespective of whether you like the person sounding the alarm about it.
@FlipLifeMedia5 ай бұрын
Your point fails immediately because nobody ever said “over necessary skilful roles”. We can have both. In fact a diversity role IS a necessary skilful role. You guys make up fake narratives in order to excuse your racism.

@@FlipLifeMedia "We guys" don't do anything. *You* just made an entire video, rife with different tangents, based upon what one person's "agenda" was based upon one interview! If she wins her case at court (and you've yet to demonstrate to know what it's about) you will use it further to prove that we live in an institutionally racist country and have a rigged system. If she loses, you will trust that system all of a sudden and you're somehow doing the same to justify diversity roles, despite their being funded by the taxpayer from this same institutionally racist government. Still, I at least admire your attempt to fit a square peg into a round circle. Now, in a similar way with Miss Gallagher, you're trying to make a judgement on who I am based upon one post, but it's water off a duck's back, my friend. Failing that, I'm going to say it again: It is *illegal* to hire based on race or gender, so it's a wasted investment. Human nature is such that even if you put forward qualifications and you also put forward quotas, the person employing is going to have to make a choice to favour one or the other. "Positive discrimination" is a contradiction in terms and it would be immoral even were it not illegal.
@Extra_0505 ай бұрын
@@FlipLifeMedia "We guys" don't need to do anything; you do it to yourself. You chose to make a more than 19-minute-long video, rife with tangents, based upon quite a short interview and made wild judgements about Miss Gallagher! Don't talk to me about "fake narratives". Why, you've yet to demonstrate, either in the video, or in answer to my comments in the closing paragraph of my OP, that you even know what her court case is even about. If she wins, you will use it as "proof" that we live in an institutionally racist country and rant on camera about how the system is rigged; if she loses, you will start trusting the system all of a sudden and make another video about why our institutionally racist government is definitely doing the right thing in spending a further £500 million of the taxpayer's money to combat the very thing that you believe got it into power. So I admire your mental gymnastics, if nothing else. Now you're making equally wild assumptions about who I am and what my motives are based upon one post, but it's water off a duck's back, my friend. I'm going to emphasise my central point again: it is *illegal* to hire or promote based upon inherent characteristics, either at the expense of *or* in parallel to merit. Even were I to take your point (difficult to pick up from what you say in the video, but for the sake of argument I'll accept you meant it all along based upon your comment above) that "we can have both" (both skillful hires and diversity hires, that is), human nature is such that if you were to emphasise qualifications *and* normalise quotas, any employer will clearly have to make a choice between one or the other, with inevitable results. "Positive discrimination" is a contradiction in terms, remember that.
