Skara Sommarland Review | Home of Tranan & Scandinavia's Best Water Park

Skara Sommarland is an amusement and water park in Sweden. Owned by Parks & Resorts Scandinavia, this park has the region's top water park. The park has a large water slide lineup, several of which go down the hillside. And the amusement side features 3 roller coasters, including the world's only S&S free fly in Tranan.

About the lights on top of the waterslides. Us Swedes have mastered orderly queueing, so 9 times out of 10, no one jumps in early. It's not the Swedish way to do so. 😂👍 Excellent review as always! 👍👍👍

Dang, I live 20 mins from this park and my mom grew up to the small village next to the park when it openes so I have been there like 30 times! It's getting a bit outdated now sadly but the waterpark will always be great!

Should probably be worth mentioning that the 2024 season seams to be stronger in regards to ride availability. All rides are up and running after a rather bad 2023 season. They also have a new show scheduled at 12:00 & 15:00.

Btw I work at Skara Sommarland this season and I can say that 98% of everything is open now last year gruvbanan was closed due to the accident that happens in gröna Lund but if you come this season 2024 you’ll most likely be able to ride everything in the park

What a shame that the "Snake" ride was closed. This is a Booster type of ride by Funtime. The traveling version called "Chaos Pendel" features a second gondola for better capacity. These are probably the most intense Booster rides out there when it comes to the gondola swinging, especially if the gondola is off balance. The rest looks really good in this park. Shame they don't seem to offter a ticket just for the ausement park, but still, looks really pretty!

They give their strong recomendation that your kids should be 13 yrs old. What a total bore! No point in visisting, my kids are that old yet. Make a park have something for everyone!
