he used to already be pretty good in those scenarios as a more bodyguard type of role, ult the most dangerous guy jumping on your backline, supply further cc, tank skillshots coming from the other backline and chase down what is left over after the figth, but now he gets his own poke and the ability to flank but loses the reliability of his former ult

His ganks can be pretty hit or miss. If he gets in range his damage and CC is really freaky, but if he misses his initial engage he has no in-built MS steroids, so he can get kited out pretty easily by mobile champs. His W (shield+dmg) range is really fat and has a huge slow on it though, so if he can get near you, you're kinda boned.

Why not build heartsteel on him? I know that he got some good ad scaling on his q, but his health scalings are off the charts. It might not improve his early clear speed, but the extra tankiness you can get while having nearly as much damage seems really strong. You can still pick up triforce and titanic later to get some ad, a sunfire item (sunfire or radiance) and another tank item based on team comp with cdr boots.

First clear can be a bit faster with AS/AD/HP and E level 2, but it's not that significant and not really worth the loss in health+scaling. Yes those camps in the Shojin demonstration are properly leveled up to 11 - he just has so much %health damage he basically oneshots them...

@@poyosuncut5854 Pretty much just how I did it in the video. You can also take Q>E>W instead if you don't mind losing more health, and AS/AD if you want to clear a bit faster. It goes down to ~3:13 or so single smite top speed.

What are his AD scalings? Also how does he feel with attack speed? Good enough that Triforce as a first item is good? Cuz on live, that's currently my favourite way to play Skarner. Not a fan of full tank, low damage, relying on your team gameplay.

70% bAD on each Q auto or rock throw, nothing on other abilities. It's solid but not worth building a ton of. I think 1, at most 2 bruiser items - Triforce feels decent.

With 2x SHP runes, around 3:12. You can get it down to like 3:08 with AS/AD and Alacrity, but those are kinda troll runes I wouldn't take ingame. Next patch he's getting another buff, at which point AS/AD becomes fine to take (AD ratio buff on his Q), so he'll be able to get down to like 3:06.

Meanwhile Sion, the third worst performing champ in the game, got 'buffs' (nerfs) that made his laning phase even worse than it already was in both offense & defense. Fkk you, preak. Oh dear. Can be interrupted by every sort of CC (including knockback, knock up, root) and can be blinked over. Edit: There goes your entire engage, now you are Darius without the damage...
