@@bobbyrussell90 360 pop shuvs are a struggle because of it going behind u/escaping it id say the better way to do them is to catch with the board at 270 with ypur back foot and to pop them forward more than turning

The super nerdy insights are what separate your tutorials from others. I’m an older skater getting back into this and I watch a lot of these tutorials, trying to get back what I lost and improve on what I had. So many of them say the same shit; verbatim at times. The best teachers offer their own takes and experience and it’s often the strange little insight only you can articulate that makes it click for someone else and helps them improve. Do more of that, please! You have a super polished technique that I covet, sir! I’d learn as much as I can from you.

I've been trying this trick every day for about a week and a half 2 hours a day. My biggest issue with it is that my back foot always ends up just behind the tail. No problems with it flipping over. Watching this video for the 12th time, I noticed that you are riding dead straight before you pop for the trick and something I notice from filming myself is that I always lean forward and my board is already turning before I pop. This for me might be what's causing me to not land. I've landed about 5 so far but I hope that after observing you riding dead straight every time will help me make this trick a consistent one. Thanks so much for your bigspin vids man. Helping me tremendously. 🤘

Personally I love this trick it's also my favorite. The biggest tip I could give almost seems suicidal for it tho. For me I just had to start hucking this trick as fast as I could go. Once I started doing that I learned to control it was easier and now can do it stationary or going mack9 speeds.

I find the hardest part of this trick is landing switch blind and rolling away. I end up heavy on my leading foot during the land, but for me it is easy to keep it from flipping. You really only covered the flipping issue. I find most tricks are easy to execute until the landing part. Maybe I need to work on my backsides more.

Great tip. The funny thing is that i always caught my pop shuvs with the back foot. I catch 360 pop shuvs with the front foot, though, because it helps to stay over the board but i can't do them nearly as high as 180 pop shuvs, where i really slap the tail and jump as high as possible, so the nose stays up rocketed in the air, which makes it easier to catch it with the back foot. Once caught, the board levels out automatically. Seems it's time to go one step ahead and practice bigspins, but i struggle to get used to catch/land varial tricks in fakie stance. I'm right handed, regular stance, so it should feel natural to me. But it doesn't. No idea what's the problem. Any tips for me on this, please?

@Nesisonfire4 жыл бұрын
sounds like you need lean into your back foot with it, heelside, like fs 180s. Its because you're leaning forward a lil much so you throw yourself in front of the board, with your weight back the board should go forward with you.

The boards gonna go forward, kinda like a 3 flip. You gotta move your body with it and since its also backside it feels like your jumping pretty far. I like to imagine my wieght being slighltly ahead of the board, and for spin tricks the upper body and shoulder rotation to be just ahead so your leading the board not catching up to it. learned bs bigspin on a snowskate. When i fist did them on a skateboard i barely popped it at all while just trying to spin it around real quick and stay with the board, the pop came later. Everyone different tho you'll get it if you keep tryin
