As a BMXer that respects skating to the fullest i find it very ineffective as a community to make One discipline dedicated parks. It is waste of tax payer money. You get separate parks that only a certain type of person can ride instead of building multiple parks around the cities that everyone can enjoy case in point Houston, TX! Let’s build mega skate park and a mega bike park in the ghetto that 10 people max use daily! Great use of money and proving your ideas failed so there is no interest in future skatepark projects!!!
@elaboratelymcc90382 жыл бұрын
As a scooter rider, can’t agree more. It is the worst for us because we get a bad rep from 10 year olds that snake the fuck out of everybody, and so we aren’t allowed at some skate parks, some bike parks, and have no ‘scooter parks’. Very disappointing, especially considering how similar our sport is to BMX, we would ride this the same way a biker would. Especially in a skatepark like this. No scooter/skateboarder/inliner that can’t shred a park like this would come. I can partially understand it for more low key parks, but when you are talking oververt, massive wallrides, 8 foot spines in a skatepark consisting of 10 foot+ quarters exclusively, you might as well let the small population that can ride it enjoy it.

Flatland is so awesome. I was known for street, but could shred parks and even jumped some of the best trails in the country. Posh, Nam (they were close together and about an hour away) Drexilbrook, was a local at Creekside during the summer of 96, until I went all out street mode. Flatland didn't seem fun to me , but I absolutely loved watching it. The dude who did The Dorkin' in York video way back and still has a flatland jam in York until this day is named Brett Downs. He was like almost 30 when my crew were teenagers, doing bike shows together at my towns end of summer/fall festival. It's funny because everyone in the township knew we did the bike shows., including the police. You'd think they'd. let us ride our spots because the bike shows were a hit. (Township still owes me $50 from the last one.) But, no. The skatepark us riders petitioned for was available for us to ride for a year and besides a few guys, who in their own rite, were good, us bike show pros weren't allowed to ride it anymore. That was a tad over 20 years ago and I've seen kids in there breaking themselves and cheap Wal-Mart mountain bikes in there. Not even BMX bikes! SMH 😫

love this man. I Ride everything but Bmx is my thing and its tough going to an awesome skatepark just to be hated on by people that are also riding childrens toys. We are all after the same feeling!

wow, this place is sick. i think transition is cool but haven't had much opportunity to ride it. there's a park about an hour away with 2 concrete pools/bowls, but they're pretty intimidating. one has real nice transition and metal coping but i've only been comfortable enough to find a symmetrical spot and ride like a mini ramp. the other one is steep transition with tile at the top and pool coping. i'd like to get some knee pads and go back, maybe wrist guards

@@jakekrebs629 i think the one in the video was fresno? it's stamped in the concrete in the loop/bowl section. the one i was talking about, about an hour from me is on the east coast. glasgow/newark/bear, delaware

WTF that park is HUGE (who paid for it? and why?) You had the right crew (INSANE CREW) and you gotta film more there. AWESOME !!!!!

Stumbled upon this awesome vid. Great skaters!! I haven’t skated for years and years and when I skated it was street. Never cared much for transition but I wish I could do this. This seems like so much fun! Just amazing.

3:20 in Australia we have 2 massive Pools like this next to each other with a Concrete spine of 5 inches in between ! So you transfer at the height of a 2nd story building, Then the 2nd pool has a smooth exit you keep your speed as you head over towards that Ball Bowl that opposite here ^^^ We have same thing.. It really feels like the exact same company made yours and mine

From a bmxer to you skaters, y’all are crazy haha. Amazing flow on that park. Don’t know where y’all are from but if you like that park, you’d like power inn park in Sacramento. Also FYI something that I don’t think a lot of skaters know, but most bmxers use plastic pegs, pedals, sprocket guards, and bar ends these days. We like to avoid the scenario of damaging coping and it lets us avoid having to use wax on surfaces. Anyway cool video! Cheers 🍻

I tell you what... Skaters just have good positive vibes when they are together. It doesn't matter your skill level, if you don't stick a trick or stuff it up? "That was it bro! that was the one! YOU GOT THIS!". Fucking great community!

i love it how u guys can just skate a bike park without any troble but if a bike rides a skatepark is a nightmare. we really dont mind skaters at our parks. parks should be for everyone who wants to enjoy them. i hope some skaters learn something about this

Yeah man, this was very satisfying to watch. I've seen a gang load of transition videos, but none of them on this level. Fuuuuuuck, this was crazy - Everybody was bringing it. And damn, Landon is a street skater, yet he was absolutely crushin' this massive park. Fuck fuck fuck.

Haha, I just got to the end where you said you feel bad for people that live in Arizona and, yeah, it definitely took a toll on our Bodies for sure. We still did it every day at 115f. So have burn scars on my body from sitting on seat belt buckle inside of a car that gave me a 3rd degree brand 😂😅

The problem with the skate boards is the guys on the bikes are going so fast that one little almost get in the way and your a goner. Bikes have to be perfectly tuned up an everything. A little off on tire pressure or a bolt or spoke and your going to the ER. Especially if you have to flinch over a skateboard doing some kickflip jumpy thing in your prefrail
