All we’ve had is trick competitions and new clothes drops instead of maps or anything that actually changes the game, until this update. But I don’t think it’s enough to bring people back in if, like me, they’ve put the game down and moved on from it

Session superior anyways 🙌🏽 I had sxl (console) first and will try to go back to it every now and then but with moon physics, a not so good replay editor, no stat menu… I only play for 5 min and then uninstall the game and hop right back on session lol! Sxl(console) just feels like a paid demo at this point

As a console dominant player, unless they add stats I don't give a shit. Easy day lost my respect years ago at this point, Session is 100x more worthy of my time.. I do play on PC as well, and used to mod XL, but the tedious process of keeping said mods up to date anytime a new game update dropped was more than enough for me to quit the game entirely. All we want is stats menu in the game itself, all we want to know is why the fuck the developers are not giving us this 1 simple thing? It's not a hard thing to make, they have the tools already made for them.. If Session can do it, there is no excuse for XL not to.

Yeah this game is dead on console for me. The moon gravity along with the maps that are made for modded gravity make it feel awful. I feel like going forward all skate games should have a stats menu. It's offers more freedom to skate how you want and that's never a bad thing since skating is all about self expression.

I dont see games like the new EA Skate having stats but any new game this is advertised as a simulator definitely should have it as a standard.

Iv completely lost interest in this game. It's been out for years and they have done hardly anything to it. Modders have added so much more to this game in a matter of weeks for free than an entire studio has since it's release.

(Console player) I was in 7th grade when this game came out, I bought it on release. Year 1 everyone was complaining about no stats and I meat rided easy day saying they would drop stats soon. I graduate high school this year. Skater xl is the worst 40 dollars I’ve ever spent. I’ve had 40 dollar carts that had 4% thc that have more value than this game. Sessions been out for less than a year and is already an infinitely better game. Easy day studios is scum.

I believe there is slight audio updates also just from my little test there, possibly the grind pinch to. Lip tricks work beautifully but they have ruined front foot catch, the back foot does som weird slowed glitch and lands when the wheels touch

Not playing their game until they give console players more freedom with their $40 pre alpha feeling game, the fact they won’t do it because it’s “not their vision” is so lame and just a slap in the face to the people that actually care about the game, shouldn’t have to buy a pc just to get better physics in a skate sim, session already proved many times that it’s possible. These new parks had to update the latest version of a new additions in this video game of skating around the skatepark and holding on close to the quarterpipe and providing more air and balance close to the rail while grinding the rail at the end of switching over from many different combinations and maneuvers tricks.

From what I noticed when you bail your skater now will grab his head in pain so that’s new and the news thing is pretty cool I guess.. but the update broke my game lol if I try to push my skater will do the animation but the skateboard will leave my feet and do some weird stuff, it’s actually pretty funny but I just can’t play the game… oh well

Hopefully that news section gets used. I'm reminded of the game Infinite Air with Mark McMorris that I think only received a single post-game update after launch. They had a news section in the loading screen that said to "Check back here for the latest news!", and the game never got an update after that, so it still says the same thing, more than 6 years later.

Easy Day has already lost a big chunk of their players when they said they would never make a stat menu for console players. i would rather watch modded XL gameplay than play vanilla XL. obviously modded XL is better than vanilla session, but if you're on console I think session is the way to go. Easy Day could have been better than "skate." but they blew it.

Ngl before the announcement of the grabs update, everytime i booted up the game on my ps4 pro it kept shutting down my system whenever the tutorial came up so I hope this gets fixed asap.I miss making my realistic clips on the game and I miss being part of the community.

For me, they're too late. The game hasn't evolved enough, and they only put out a few half-boring maps they haven't made themselves. In the beginning, I was like "Fuck Skate 4, this game came out when we needed it". But now, with Skate 4 looking fantastic and the development team being so transparent and communicative, I'm definitely jumping ships as soon as Skate 4 launches.

Yes if you got auto-updates enabled in Steam any update will remove all your mods from the game and they might not work again unless you have a backed up version. At the very least everyone will need to reinstall their mods from scratch.

That's great! they also improved some animations (for examples heelflips, mongo pushing and other stuff, which I'll check in the next few hours). UPDATE (after a few hours of gameplay): the pushing animation has gotten a lot worse, it's very slow and less realistic than before.)

Grinding feels a lot better and the gameplay feels better too. Seems like they changed some of the physics in terms of gravity and player body movement. It feels so much better too play I’m excited for the future in skater xl

This update is AWFUL. 🤮 Grabs moves are ugly and the character is allways glitchin' now. It will be more interesting to add FRONTFLIPS, BACKFLIPS, MISTY, RODEOS and others VERT rotations. Darkslides too
