tip for easier editing of this kinda stuff: quickly cover the camera with your hand for a few frames after capturing a make. as you're scrubbing it's easy to spot the black frames

You can't do that and cover the exact moment the best trick gets thrown down. Only possible way i know is to sharply blow in your mic after a land and search for audio spikes in your audio file while editing. Then you clip it out

@@letsgooo1637 "after capturing a make" isn't the same as "as the best trick gets thrown down." The point is to do it after the trick, long enough after to have some room to edit. You can do the audio spike too, but when scrubbing clips, I can see black frames so much quicker than audio spikes (which are ALL over the place when filming a contest).
