Aww that’s fantastic!! Those baby calf legs will soon be strong skaters legs. You got this. Although I still get bambi legs occasionally.

Perfect timing ! I try working on my backward skating since yesterday and the best I could do was 10 meter and being stop because I put too much my weight on the front of the skates. I also tried bubbles but I stucked my wheels together ^^'. Now I have some good exercises to work on, thank you !!

Hi skatie.I found country road by me for skating on and it was quiet and smooth but found myself goin downhill a bit which was bit scary as I’m not so good at stopping forward as backward.would normally flip round to stop.I’m not confident to do t stop with my old legs yet .I know u can carve to slow down but road was narrow .of course would have dived in hedge if anything came down road didn’t use headphones so could listen to traffic about but was so quiet there .just come back from Penzance did roller disco.great .met some lovely people.

Can you make a video on backwards skating with one foot? I understand knowing your edges is crucial and using your lifted foot to guide your body is important too but is there something I am missing?

I loosened my trucks and wheels but I can’t even do a good bubbles. I bought the C7 skates from Amazon. What am I doing wrong? My skates seems so stiff, seems like they only go back and forward.
@Skatie2 жыл бұрын
It could be that your cushions are very hard. (The rubber coloured bit on the trucks). If you’re loosening the trucks but getting no movement it’s likely a Change of cushion would improve things.
@DivineSoul9992 жыл бұрын
@@Skatie Thanks you!! Can all skates cushions get replaced?

I'm working on my backwards bubbles but i still don't have it... but I'm progressing slowly though. I'm almost there... i think I'm just too scared to go fast, but if i don't give myself power, i can't do it 😂😂😂
@Skatie2 жыл бұрын
You’re correct. Part of the balance is having a bit of roll. It hard to balance on a bike if you’re going too slowly same principle works for skating.
@AB-zm4mj2 жыл бұрын
@@Skatie I practiced again today and I got a few right! I make the mistake to try to use only one foot though (like putting my weight on my main foot instead of both) but I’m getting there, even if I can’t do them in a row yet… I wanted to ask : what are the basics beginners should focus on first? I got the regular bubbles/lemons down, working on regular strides, staggered stance and scissors (I also got those almost down), oh, and I start practicing going over cracks, little branches… thank you for all your answers and your very helpful videos!!! I follow other KZbin channel but I love how yours got lots of outside staking lessons
@katieparker-green63932 жыл бұрын
@@AB-zm4mj thank you . Sounds like you’re rocking it. I’d also recommend practising edges forwards to get a good understanding and control of both inside and outside edges then manuals, crossovers, cornering.
