I came across your content from looking into project 2025, and continued to look into your other videos. You ever come across a person and found them so inspiring you wish you knew them in person, you radiate that! Stay blessed and may God continue to bless you with the desires of your heart!

I'm in my forties and never learned how to skate as a kid but I went recently for the first time in 30+ years. Your content has me psyched to learn! I do line dancing and hope to eventually learn to meld these two hobbies.

Got some skates. Just scared to get out there. I know how to skate (I mean balance and go) and I’ve gone skating a couple of months ago with someone but my anxiety and depression is holding me back. Yet, I’m hoping, and trying to use skating to have manage it….

@@WaterFor3st I can relate to this, skating helped me get of depression but I still have anxiety about going to skating rinks by myself. I don’t have anyone that’s willing to go with me so I started skating in the house that helped a lot when I added my feel good music and a pair of Bluetooth headphones.. something sparked in me & I was ready to go outside in front of my house.. the feeling I get from skating is therapeutic.. the more I do it the more I need it ..had to encourage myself and tell myself to just put em on & go ..💪🏾you can do it girl 🌹

I actually do the 1 for holds and crossovers to warm up and the glides, step outs, and edge checks during my practices. Backwards is a lil trickier 😂 I fell and discovered i like gloves too. Good job 😊❤

I would also love some advice/tips on flat skates. I can’t wear heeled skates because they kill my feet. I exclusively wear zero drop sneakers with custom insoles due to my almost flat feet and planters fasciitis. I have a pair of Sure-Grip Boardwaks but they are not working out anymore with my feet. So I ordered some Roller Derby Elite Glidr Sneaker skates (on sale 😊) to try out. Planning on changing the wheels though cause I read the stock ones are a bit fast for beginners.

How do you keep from rolling when you’re on one foot? I need to stand with my feet in a v to keep from rolling.
@kme98616 ай бұрын
@@recycleonwednesdays make sure you aren’t on the ball of your feet or you will roll forward. And if you lean a lot on the heel you may start to roll back. You’ll get a feel for it after a while.
