Today we get to skate inside the meadows mall while trying to run away from security! This was an awesome mall skating video because I grew up going to this mall so getting to see everything again was a treat. Do not try this at your mall please, let me do it so you don't have to! I hope you guys enjoy this one and share it to someone who you think might like it, will I get kicked or roll away from the cops unschathed?

Hahaha this was funny to watch, I'm a security supervisor there and I work with that officer a lot. He's a good dude, as is the rest of our team.

@@Cody2nd Mostly security I would imagine. There are also night stocking crews and stuff I'm sure, but they tend to stay in the tunnel systems at night. The consumer section is probably wide open!

My mom's friend let's people skateboard and roller skate in her convenience store all of the time. "Just no crazy tricks" and "you break it you buy it" are the only two rules.

Actually quite calming and enjoyable seeing you skate so effortlessly. You're really good. And yes, the security was very nice. I'm not surprised though. I work at a mall, and the security there are very nice as well. Must just be a thing.

Nah rollin through the store is cool too. I go to the grocery store with my skates on probably 3 out of 4 times I go now, at least a couple times a week. Never had a manager talk to me (and they've all seen me), and the only employees who have mentioned it have only ever been like "hey that's awesome!" Just the other day, the guy bagging my stuff saw my skates on my way out and hollered "hey, you're that guy who skates around town all the time!" Yep, thats me :). Another time, an older lady stopped and said "well that's a great way to get around! How do they work in the snow?" With a big smile on her face. Of course, I usually grab a cart (one of the double decker half length ones if possible) and go at a pretty normal walking pace behind it, so I'm not really "skating around". Still, I've expected to be asked to leave and never have been!

In Thailand, there are two or three workers in each super store with skates whose job it is to zip around the store get apples weighed for someone at the cashier who forgot to do it, etc., and other activities which require them to move around long distances quickly. These super stores are not a small fraction of the size of a USA superstore.

I took my 10 year old daughter skating for the first time. She loved it. She convinced me to throw on some skates and skate around with her. I'm 49, last time I skated I was a teen. I rocked it!! I smoked her!!! Lol...now I want to buy a pair and skate again. Quads or inline. Hmm..cool vid

Good on you for sticking it to the man. I once got rugby tackled by security in my local mall just for skateboarding through there slowly. It was ridiculous. I was treated like a criminal lol. It's just amazing to see the reaction you get just because someone is skating through a mall and posing very little threat to anyone but out on the roads, people act like aggressive lunatics all the time and genuinely put people in serious danger, but it's accepted as pretty much normal.

Ah those security shirts. Allied universal security services most likely. I wore the same exact one at my last gig. Allied guards aren’t paid enough to be mean or actually give a fuck, we just do enough to get the job done and fulfill our duties. If we don’t say something we get in trouble, chances are he didn’t care, just wanted to do something to make sure he didn’t get in trouble with the supervisor or manager.

imagine skating in that mall, on the 2nd floor, knocking into someone by mistake and sending them over the side railing. or the skater could fall over the side.. or run into someone. it may not be super LIKELY to happen but its possible. thats why places like malls are off limits for skaters. In general, the skates can damage private property.

What's your camera setup? I'm doing the same thing on quads and I like what you're using, it captures you and the environment very well

superb ayeee thank you so much! My set up is very complicated but basically my camera is the “insta 360 one x” and for my audio I use a field recorder and the “sennheiser ew g4” lavaliere. I make videos for a living so I kinda go over the top 😅 hope this helps 🦑

I used to work at a six flags amusement park and they used to let a friend and myself skate the whoke park once it closed and we finished our shift. This was in the early 2000s way before everyone had cell phones or cameras.
