A good start with my beloved rats- will be nice to see some other armies that I play versus- FEC, SCE and LRL for example Won’t have time to address niche interactions though I’d imagine (like how skaven should deal with crypt flayers and their bravery based shooting that hits rats sooooo hard)

I love this! my only suggestion is to sometimes quickly explain some stuff so its a bit more beginner friendly, or for those of us who want to know 100% what you mean. E.G when you said I sometimes buff a unit of stormfiends with a warlock then send them through. Which buff onto which type of stormfiends. So maybe like I'll use a the warlock to give the clan skyre buff onto a unit of shooting stormfiends and send them through. Or maybe I just like having my hand held more haha :D great job though!
@AoSCoach4 жыл бұрын
I’ll keep that in mind and try to ask more questions. It’s a hard balance not to interrupt someone while they explain a concept but I’ll try for future videos

@@AoSCoach I personally like the guest assuming the viewer has a basic understanding of the army and their abilities. You already did faction focuses for all the armies to explain what these abilities do. It would be pretty redundant and kindof annoying hearing all of that info all over again when you already heard it in the other video. I would like to keep these intermediate/expert level tactics instead of beginner tutorials.

Understood. Skryre only have one cuffing spell which is more-more-more warp power and the artefact I tend to use is the Vigordust injector

So as dan was saying about min 20 clanrats. In my recent tournament i was running 3x20 clanrats to try a list out. I would lose 20 in the first round of combat or only have like 4-5 left and then lose objective control where if i had 40 in those scenarios i would have been able to hold objective prio for another turn which would have won me games. Also being able to have that protection vs the double turn is really needed to keep your vital units out of danger. It is something I am going to take into my next games and just play for the objective.
@AoSCoach4 жыл бұрын
I don't mind 1-2 smaller units but you definitely want a couple of larger blocks of them. I know as a Gitz player I'd want larger units to help control the board
@corbingovers75594 жыл бұрын
I'd only go 20x3 if you were spamming plague monks or skryre acolytes. otherwise, I'd go 40/40/20. (I like 40/40 clan rats /20 stormvermin w/ a clawlord as a nice little death ball)

Awesome vid!! Such a great way of ilustrating something as complex as deployment, retreat etc. Very very very cool. I loved it. I have a few questions questions in regards on some of the points mentioned in the video and some of my own ,maybe someone can help me :D 1) Really cool ideas from retreating and charging, but I don't really see the point on not "properly" charging the dragon instead of doing that pile-in trick. Would charging head-on translate into more attacks into the dragon hence greater chance of killing it? 2) I would like to know what is Dan's opinion on Ratling guns, because he mentioned that most of the damage from the Skaven army comes from other units. A more-more-power buffed ratling gun with a Stone for the +1 attack is a weapon to fear in my opinion. Would be nice to know how would he deploy them if he thinks they are worth. 3) Would you run 30 storvermins instead of 40? for points sake 4) what are your opinion on doomwheels, abobination and warlord on brood horror? 5) Do you think there is any battallion worth taking? so far I think all skaven players will have way more units that the other armies, so I like the idea of deploying kinda thinking that you will go first. 6) Warplight Cannon or jezzails? :D Thanks to anyone that replies! Have a great day!
@AoSCoach4 жыл бұрын
If you're on Twitter, I'd highly recommend reaching out to Dan. He'd be happy to help. A couple of things I would call out are: with retreating and charging, he is attempting to pin down the unit and zone it off from the objective rather than charging it "properly". If I remember the video correctly, Dan talks a lot about the 2.9" pin. Using the bodies he can control the board while his other units shoot down the threats. From my experience, jezzails probably win over warplightning cannons. Doomwheels have seemed to have slightly improved but not enough to field them in a competitive list. There are just other units which you take over them. 30 vs. 40 stormvermin depend on what other units you have in your list and what you are expecting them to do.

@AoSCoach3 жыл бұрын
Are you on Twitter Damian? You could always ask him directly. Dan's uses the bravery boosts inside Skaven to help keep those Clan Rats around but also doesnt worry too much when it comes to battleshock. All the damage is coming from those other units... I guess you're picking your battles on where to best optimise your decisions

To be honest, I don't recall. Dan traditionally runs a few blocks of Clan Rats, a Grey Seer on Bell, 20 Acolytes, some jazzales. I think this was GHB19 so the list may have changed with the current edition.
