Great to see this kind of overview now that weve had experience with the book, and with an 'industry expert' no less, Ed's great. 17:52 assassin also already has poisoned attacks, so youre paying 50pts and an attack for ap -2 and D3 wounds (ok and magic attacks) even without the -1 attack its not great 1:08:45 there exists a bat rep on Mordian Glory's YT channel where I double 1 a turn one bell ringing to my great sadness. 1:19:37 I like that we're forced to bring 40 clan rats. If you don't have !atleast! 40 clanrats you're not playing Skaven. The free pdf should come with 40 clanrats when you download it. I think Ed may have said that if the BSB uses the "Verminous Valor" rule, the unit would not get the benefits of the standard. Not entirely sure I heard his comment correct, but if I did, I do not see where that is stipulated in the rules. I do see in the FAQ they say if a BSB refuses a challenge they don't get the Hold Your Ground benefit, however, using Verminous Valor is not the same as refusing a challenge. I just want to confirm that there is nothing stopping a player from having their BSB with, for example, a Grand Banner of Superiority, retire to the back rank and still provide the unit +2-4 combat resolution and Hold Your Ground. Is that correct?

I never put Stormvermin in my army list. Never. It doesn't matter how good they are, because they are extremely expensive. I'd rather have 2x20 (or 40) Clanrats in my army than 20 Stormvermin. I'm sad because I love the Stormvermin miniatures from 6th edition, but if I want to play a small army of strong units, I'll play Warriors of Chaos. There should be a lot of Skaven and the points are better invested in anything else instead of Stormvermin.

Ed and Close Order are example of what destroys the hobby. people taking a very arbitrary game for fun, far too serious, abusing the too generous army selection for one thing, min maxing the "best", clones times many and just makes it.. Trash. It is a fun hobby to escape from life for a bit. it should not be your life, taken so serious. then you need to GET a life and do somethign useful and THEN go hobby. No thanks.

He’s trying to make the best use of the army since gw clearly spent close to no effort in writing the skaven list to be balanced compared to the other factions. If you don’t enjoy competitive play and appreciate the time and effort content creators put into releasing these videos then don’t watch them and please keep the negative comments to yourself 😅

@@ryanbowald2425 He is taking a game that should be some fun now and then, as if it is a serious job. it ain´t, he need to get a life, something useful to put most of that energy into. behaviour like that ruins the hobby, for everyone - but in the end he will be the big loser taking something arbitrary, unblanaced and made up, far too serious.. And he ruins it for others too.

@@ja37d-34 you dont decide what people think is fun, people themselves decide that, tournament means competition which means squeezing all the chances you can get out of rules that are clearly favored to the ones that GW is enforcing (aka the old stuff). now go have your fun in the bubble you prefer :)

You absolutely do not get to tell other people they're having fun wrong, if you don't like the competitive part of the community, but claiming that they're destroying the hobby is ridiculous and childish, just have a conversation with your opponent about the sort of game you're both trying to play, and if it doesn't align, like you want to play narrative and they want to play competitive, just don't play that person, it's not hard to have a basic adult conversation
