SkeeRide Assembly Part 3 - Front Suspension

Print: 2 skis, 2 ski hook, 2 steering rod, 1 of everything else. The V2 knuckles give a sharper turning radius, meaning steering will be more touchy with V2. You only need one knuckle per side so choose based on how you want it to steer.
This is a fully 3D printable RC snowmobile.
This was designed from the very beginning with easy assembly and minimal purchased parts as the goal. I think I have accomplished that goal. Everything is printed except for: Electronics, screws, bearings, and shocks. It can be printed on a print bed 200mm x 200 mm or larger. Most items do not need any supports but there are a few that will need some.

Many of the parts of my design are inspired from other snowmobile projects that I have seen. I have reached out to those that some of my work might resemble. If you feel something looks similar to your work and you did not receive a message from me please reach out to me. Nothing in my design is a modified version of others work, All of it was hand made by me, but some may still resemble that of images I used for reference.
Disclaimer: Due to printer abilities being different and always changing, and the nature of an off road vehicle there is a good chance you will break parts. Luckily they should be easy to reprint and fix rather quickly. I will do my best to provide support through discord and if files are found in need up improvement I will do my best to improve and then include for free for those who have purchased the snowmobile. I give no guarantee that it will print perfect on your machine or that things will not break when you send the sled flying off a cliff.

Bought the files two days ago. Thanks for the effort of making this. I saw footage of an other rc snowmobile design on youtube and thought that would be a cool idea to have as my next rc project. Just making my own 3d printed snowmobile. Looked for pictures of nice real snowmobiles to use as a ref. Choose the Yamaha mountain max 2021. Started to make screenshots and imported them into Autocad. Started on the front ski design.......and found your files via one of these youtube video's. Hmm ok that looks nice. Will make my job much more easy. Weeks of designing and test printing. so thank you for that. Two questions though. How did you print those ski's? on their side? upside down? And the second question. What program did you use to design this? I like the main shape and design. But am not a big fan of the many polygon patches. Was it choosen this way/ done on purpose or do you have no way of making the lines smooth instead of facetted?

Print the skis on their sides with supports. I used Blender to model everything. The polygon look was on purpose, I like the look and felt it gave it a stronger/meaner look. Good luck on your project.

I printed the jordan86 stuff. does that go together differently? or should I have done the others?

It’s explained in the mod pdf included with the files. Those are a mod to use rod ends instead of the standard ones I show in the video. They were modded by jordan86 on discord then sent to me to include as an option.
