Got a big dump of powder, so had to give it a try. It was full throttle or sink so I didn't get a lot of footage, but thought this video was fun anyway.

This is a fully 3D printable RC snowmobile. I have been designing and tweaking it for a long time now and I think it's time to start sharing how it is going.
This was designed from the very beginning with easy assembly and minimal purchased parts as the goal. I think I have accomplished that goal. Everything is printed except for: Electronics, screws, bearings, and shocks. It can be printed on a print bed 200mm x 200 mm or larger. Most items do not need any supports but there are a few that will need some.

Many of the parts of my design are inspired from other snowmobile projects that I have seen. I have reached out to those that some of my work might resemble. If you feel something looks similar to your work and you did not receive a message from me please reach out to me. Nothing in my design is a modified version of others work, All of it was hand made by me, but some may still resemble that of images I used for reference.
Disclaimer: Due to printer abilities being different and always changing, and the nature of an off road vehicle there is a good chance you will break parts. Luckily they should be easy to reprint and fix rather quickly. I will do my best to provide support through discord and if files are found in need up improvement I will do my best to improve and then include for free for those who have purchased the snowmobile. I give no guarantee that it will print perfect on your machine or that things will not break when you send the sled flying off a cliff.

how long do you think the track would be if it was 1/1 scale. like 163 or something just wondering

It was based off the longest option for a freeride, if I remember correctly that was 165.

My skeeride keeps destroying all the brushed motors I put in it

Brushless 2200kv is recommended. Brushed motors are rarely waterproof and they don’t have enough power to spin all the track. You should check that everything turns smoothly with no binding or resistance before installing the motor too, But it’s still going to be hard on a brushed setup.

I’d suggest watching a few KZbin videos. There’s lots of good info on different ones and it will help you find one in your price range. A search for reliable 3D printer, or good budget 3D printer should get you started.

Best video yet! Well done. Short and to the point. Does it do better in powder or a groomed trail? The close ups are great.

Thank you! I think it does great on both. The really deep soft powder is difficult, it wants to sink unless full throttle. On groomed trails it does well, but if it's too hard packed then the track paddles might break. My favorite is 4-6 inches of fresh snow on good packed snow, in those conditions it's incredible.
