I’m hoping that the mysteries established in the episode will lead to everyone realizing that this was a great episode. I think it may be a situation where the episode is more appreciated when the entire story/lore is established. Maybe Jod’s interaction with the other tribe not being seen wasn’t omitted due to lazy writing, maybe we are going to find out later what happened. What if when Jod said, “Just shoot me.” They did, and he deflected the laser fire.
