@@alexanderthealright And so cool. Nothing is a wasted idea or costume concept. I always loved that werewolf. I hated that some of his scenes were deleted in The Special Edition. I love how we got references to 3 famous pirates/pirate characters in this show. Silvo (Long John Silver), SM33 (Captain Hooks first mate Smee), and Brutus (Blackbeard).
@The2ndQuestАй бұрын
@@anthonyyoutubefan7567 For recent live-action, there was an Ithorian (hammerhead) in this very episode- the old lady walking her dog that he almost runs into when leaving the house (after the lawnmower droid), in addition to the student Ithorian(s) we see soon after. The crooked mayor in The Book of Boba Fett was also an Ithorian (with a speaking role), and I think one also appeared somewhere in Mando Season 3. For recent animation, Bolo was the Ithorian hanging out with the Weequay Ketch at Cid's in The Bad Batch. He was even based on the original Kenner Hammerhead action figure.

The Star Wars Holiday Special is a rite of passage, you can't truly call yourself a Star Wars fan unless you "Force" yourselves to endure it and your subscribers would like to see you do it if only because we're sadists. (Edit - It would make a nice Festivus gift) If you manage to get through that experience you still have to survive the Ewok Double Feature, 1984's Caravan Of Courage and The Battle For Endor from '85.
@RedCaioАй бұрын
the ewok movies are infinitely more watchable than the holiday special. But I'd love to see them react to all of the above. Don't forget the Lego holiday special too
@MDestron2282Ай бұрын
@@RedCaio For real. The Ewok movies are pretty standard 80s B fantasy.
@Skye_WriterАй бұрын
@@RedCaio oh yeah, Caravan of Courage was something my brother and I watched over and over. Ofc, he was 8 years old and I was 10, so we were SQUARELY in the demographic George was aiming for. But we adored it, and my little brother had SUCH a crush on Cindel! The second Ewok movie was...meh. We basically got bored with it halfway through, and I'm not sure I've ever seen how it ended. But if Our Boys liked "Willow" (the movie) then they'd probably like both Ewok flicks. The '78 Holiday Special is...definitely not worth watching. I say that as a megafan who was obsessed with SW from the first moment the movie came out. But the Holiday Special isn't Star Wars. It doesn't look or feel like Star Wars, because it wasn't done by the people who created Star Wars. I tried to rewatch it a couple of years ago and found myself fast-forwarding through most of it. But hey, if Our Boys want to torture themselves like that, I'd watch.
@ll7868Ай бұрын
@@Skye_Writer The only reason I even bothered with the Ewok movies is because my kids who were between 5 and 9 at the time loved the Ewoks after I made them watch the Star Wars trilogy on VHS, so I got the Ewok movies on VHS and sat through them with the kids. I never would have been able to watch them by myself. I was also a huge Star Wars fan from the start, even had the entire Marvel comic run from '77-'85, the best thing to come out of the Star Wars Holiday Special was the Boba Fett animated bit, not only did it solidify him as a fan favourite it also got him a 4 issue limited series based on the Special. That series made DC jealous and they created Lobo as a parody of Boba Fett. The only canon in the Holiday Special are "The Story Of The Faithful Wookiee" Boba Fett cartoon, in The Book Of Boba Fett Chapter 3: The Streets Of Mos Espa Boba Fett makes a passing reference to riding the dragon, and Life Day being the Star Wars version of Festivus.

Since this has an 80's kids movie vibe, will they get away from the wolfman by hitting him in the nards? 5:36 is he though? He hasn't had a crew since The Clone Wars and that was over 20 years before A New Hope and Skeleton Crew is 9 years after that, according to Wookiepedia. Can he still be considered a pirate when all his crimes in Rebels where done with connections to Phoenix Squad and would be label as Terrorist attacks by the Empire, not acts of Piracy? Although, we did see in Andor that the Empire really doesn't care what you did when sentencing you. Being arrested is enough for them.

4:36 sweetie, he's 100% Shistavanen. (Btw, Bothans' appearances haven't yet been decided/confirmed, even though they have shown up in other media like video games) Bothans differed in facial appearance and body structure with canine, feline, and equine (horse)features, so they are actually not wolf people. The Shistavanen, however, are 100% wolf people, which is why George removed the one he had in the first movie. He ALWAYS hated it because it was an off-the-shelf mask rather than a unique creation and he didn't felt it looked Star Wars enough. But, he was out of money and out of time, he had to get something on film, so the wolfman was classified as a Shistavanen and he was named Lak Sivrak in the '90's EU book, "Tales From the Cantina," a collection of short stories detailing the lives of everyone you see in the cantina. You can see the ORIGINAL cantina scene in this vid where the Shistavanen makes 3 appearances in the first minute and a half: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3zCmqprjtWmaK8 Also, Wookieepedia confirmed Brutus IS a Shistavanen: starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Brutus
