I don’t think Jod is all evil. I think he is just a survivor. I think he was a young padawan that survived order 66. He talks about being hungry and sick of only getting scraps. He talks about the kids being spoiled. He’s probably reflecting on his own childhood where he’s had it hard and probably had to join the pirate life to survive. He threatens the kids but doesn’t really want to hurt them just get them to yield to his command. Just what I think could be wrong

@@erixmax Id say he is more evil than any of the other pirates seen so far including Brutus. Brutus had the kids thrown in a cell to cool off, he didnt threaten to harm them or their parents to frighten them, he also didnt manipulate and lie to the other pirates like Jod constantly does, or get them killed on reckless plans as Jod does. The only good act so far seen by Jod was not stamping on that rodent thing.

I think it might be more plausible that a pirate like Tak Rennod intercepted and took over the Onyx Cinder in space randomly. And figuring out that it was going to one of the 9 hidden planets and able to get through the defenses. And quite possibly creating the chaos that led to those planets down falls in order to protect and cover the tracks of the one planet of them he was not interested in destroying: the one that literally prints treasure. And that the armor on the OC, while having a few extra functions, the main function was to hide the identity of such a special ship.

I think at attin was hidden during the attack on the 9 planets. Maybe not the cause but they funded palpatine and his excursions in episodes 1-9 but after the fall of the empire.. they were left to their work. Like the clones from episode 5 I believe ‘the clone wars’ left to make over 250,000 clones with 1,000,000 clones in incubation…

We didn't need a lightsaber at all in this show to be honest the slight hints of force potential in God was great. I was actually sitting down with freinds who never was interested in starwars and now this series/show is now just like any other starwars film. The others I was watching with loved it as what it was a adventure film that happened to take place in "a galaxy far far away". Then if jod was gonna go full Vader he whould have done it when he killed the other half of the crew bye killing them all with the acid or what ever it was. God whould have killed the kids then instantly it whould have only been him and 33. This is starwars after all. If they wanted to have a lighsaber in the show it whoud have been enough as a "trophy" and then God said tacrennan or what ever his name is treasure whould be booby trapped yet the lighsaber wasn't booby trapped and a stool was 😂 crazy.

I have had a personal theory that Jod is actually Petro from the Clone Wars who was with Ahsoka and other younglings who took on Hondo, and then later helped Hondo against Grievous... I think maybe there's a chance that when Order 66 went down, he went to Hondo for help... and he's a pirate now because of it.

I think he being in front of the kids with a ignited blue light saber is giving us a different clue.....Darth Vader and the younlings...Disney has tryed to redeem reputation on hated past actors because of the things they did on the movies...Like jar jar ;)....no wonder they redeem Hayden by introducing that Anakin was not able to kill them and let them go (This actor got even serious emotional and psichology problems because fans hatred by finding out he was Darth Vader and killed kids), faking the killings for his new master to see. Bet Jod is one of those younglings (if not the one who talked to Anakin while he ignites the saber)

10! Another tiny detail from early on in the series is Fern's story about the kid that missed his exam & was sent to the mines below the school. I've been thinking ever since that this is what happens to those individuals that are deemed to lack the necessary skills to work on the surface level and are then forced into manual labor. There are 1,039 vaults filled with credits, who is mining this resource? I believe that Wim's mother was sent to the mines for one reason or another, which is why Wendel was so focused on his performance at work. Trying to keep himself from suffering the same fate. A terrible secrete that only the adults are aware of. Only those that are useful and productive towards the "Great Work" may remain in the comforts & relative 'freedom' of the At-Attin's surface. I believe that this is the only of the 9 not to face an uprising from its slave faction.

I think you forgot the part when sm33 said the ship look nearly unrecognizable without all the armor plates. Just after the onix cinder arrives from warp speed near the pirates outpost ship. Just outside the boarder to at attin before the tractor beam. Ps.. I was correct about episode 5.. with sm33 choosing to side with the children after jod broke the pirates code to take the imperial saber, the onix cinder.. sm33… and he didn’t get them to at attin safety as promised. Sm33 will return in episode 8 I believe. I dare say it.. I bet the saber actually belongs to whim now. Other sabers have cracked and turned red from blue or green when the owners feeling or nature turns dark. And I believe whim will take the saber from him in the end. Or the parents might all be force sensitive Jedi like like whim’s father said “you weren’t supposed to know until you graduated” which is why I believe beginning of episode two.. whims father looks away as secretary Ferra asks for a meeting with the supervisor..knowing they are controlling the planets though droids. Even the supervisor. Why jod was brought to the vault underground idk. But 1037 vaults filled with gold… he has more gold than he knows how to handle. I’m going to give jod one last chance.. before he’s possibly imprisoned by carbonation. The vault or the droids, I’m hoping he uses saber as an intimidating surprise before he gives to whim. And I think whim has knowledge of force from his faith. Kb hasn’t been properly maintained medically from her parents perspective, having whim help rebuild a corroded piece probably nearly impossible for her to replace on at attin.. (with the junk yard being picked clean (episode 1)) also giving whim the knowledge to build his own light saber. Fern isn’t speaking her intrusive thoughts anymore and I have a strong feeling the children are going to bring their best foot forward against jod and keep the onix cinder. As per episode 4 when they had to hack the elevator on at-akeron (I believe (terrible spelling)) I have a very strong feeling that the kids will free at attin from solitude to be hidden again or nolonger hidden with such strong defenses and funds.. and secure their legendary positions (without needing to take the exam for whim) sm33 being ferns new home droid. And I want to say fern is related to the supervisor (her grandfather per episode one “home development went wrong”) maybe being the supervisor… tak wrenalds’s conqubine.. (lead supervisor ferra) whom gave fern a symbolic patch in episode one.. probably the safety beacon needed to get through the barrier. However that makes me think tak wrenalds found love on at attin and came back and forth through the barrier with the onix cinder being an at attin ship originally.. must mean he ( tak wrenalds) has been to their world many times. Even funding his travels and everything to the spa on lanupaaaa lol just to be stabbed in the chest and replaced by maybe ferns mother..? Since theirs no father figure for fern… maybe that’s why sm33 refused to turn on her. After maybe learning of her pregnancy she probably panicked and killed everyone on board but herself.. and her unborn baby fern… especially if the treasure was a secret no more.. Farrah probably tried to have a better life for her child. “For at attin he DID PLUNDER” not will. Has… also I meant undersecretary ferrah. One step down from secretary? Edit #4 also jod used the force to undo the cuffs on his wrist just after Brutus was captured. And KB reading the sith text with jod, gets a burst of steam in the face.. she paused and grabbed her face disoriented from the corrosion in her head. And I believe the katholups creature is more significant than we believe. Almost every scene had significance and I can’t wait for season 2

I thought episode 7 was interesting and now brutus is dead and he ain't coming back after being killed by jod and SM-33 uppercuting jod was great and badass and funny lol and seeing the treasure was really interesting inside the vault and seeing the illusion of At Attin because of the barrier it looks like a toxic planet on the outside and then jod using the lightsaber to cut SM-33 was crazy and I knew jod was still going to be a bad guy despite what everyone was saying about him jod going to be a good guy and I hope we learn jod's backstory in the final episode and it's good to see the kids reunited with their parents at least but now they are prisoners of jod so yeah and it was a good episode my rating for it was 8/10 and good breakdown video mike

Jury is still out for Jod being good or bad. He not killing those kids or stepping on that mouse and giving Wym a nice talk when he was crying is evidence there is good on him still. He killed Brutus, but Brutus was trying to kill him. I see a possibility that Jod actually frees the people of At Attin from their prison, even if for his own selfish reasons. Now that he is the richest man in the Galaxy, whats left for him but find love from the children he is unaware being fond of.

This show has got a ton of eggs from other movies/shows. As far as Jod in a way the journey and his struggle has been very Treasure Island-ish. He has to have that is he good or bad, back and forth, and man he def went dark here. But we are probably about to see someone far worse in episode 8 show up thats going to led to his journey full circle in his roots eventually. I mean its season 1. its not just going to all take place on this planet and wrap up there. And this is hands down one of the best star wars anything in a while. So hopefully much more to come.. That whole population seems to be in for a rude awakening. I don't know if the new leader is somehow Tak Rennod, Another droid, or sith related. When the elevator was going down you could hear alarm/sirens that sounded exactly like the ones the first order used.

Not exactly but close. Jod killed Brutus so now he’s the captain of the whole crew ship carrier. And as per the pirate code can only be the captain of one ship at a time. So he covered whims mouth to claim the onix cinder as one of his controlled ships but sm33 wont listen because jod is a liar and a traitor to the pirate code. Trying to cover his butt horribly with great luck on his side

Brutus death is a Snoke error, and it could go just as badly. The show needs an antagonist and a final showdown and they offed Brutus with one episode to go and no time to introduce any antagonist that will matter to the audience. Now either Jod stays bad and is defeated without a sappy redemption or they botched the landing of yet another show. Lets see what Disney chose.

7.5 out of 10. I am enjoying this show. The acting is great. I like how cruel jod was. It was the first time in this episode that I thought the writing was a little lazy. I didn’t like the unclaimsies part. I was expecting the kids to come up with a creative plan to take over their ship, in line with CW and other SW episodes with adventurous kids we have seen. The other part that I did not understand was: what was the point of the message the parents sent out to their kids? They went into so much trouble violating all the rules to send it out! I was expecting a secret message with the coordinates that only the kids could decipher. It was a bit disappointing. Also, I do have a an issue with Brutus costume, it doesn’t look believable.

Supervisor a droid? Or maybe it’s Rennod. The cinder was on planet. If he used it to get there, it never left. I think it’s possible he never left. Took over the planet. And is running the mint himself to create an endless treasure hoard. He likely knows about the rise of palpatine. The show is called skeleton crew. He is using the entire planet as his skeleton crew to keep minting more credits. We have no idea what rennod is. He could be a creature like yoda that lives hundreds of years. Just a theory though 😉

This episode was dark, and amazing.I gave it, a 10.Jod was probably, a rejected apperintice of dooku.And never fully, finished his training.I bet, in the finale, we are going to get a whole history of the republic with the credits.And how far, back they go.I have been right with my high Republic prediction.Bit i think, with the money.We will learn, it goes further back than that buckle up people.We might learn so much, in one episode.

I'm so hyped for the finale because literally everything could happen! And it's a very good guess about Dooku. I think Jod was his apprientice and he was taken away as a kid from that ashy dusty planet that he mentioned on At Achron. Mayby Jod was or is a dark side user but not typical one like Count Dooku. Dooku was half sith half politician and mayby Jod is half Sith/different dark side user half a pirate or just a person who wants to be rich and uses dark side as his tool not fuel and destiny.

Under the pirate code, mutiny requires death of the party committing mutiny. That was Brutus. Jod was correct in his act to take back his ship. As to who Jod really is, he became a mercenary. Time will tell what Jod really is.

Watch the first episode opening again. Brutus doesnt Mutiny, the entire crew fire their captain. Pirate captains are elected, they aren't in command by rank or right, only consent.

It was a good episode and moved the plot along. Slightly strange pacing as the last two episodes were slower and this one is quite frenetic. I give it an 8.2.
