Remember, in the Post Empire Era, the Republic is just referred to as the Old Republic. The "Old Republic" doesn't refer specifically to the time of Revan et Al, it includes up to the prequel era. I think the planet was *hidden* before the fall of the Empire, but it wasn't *lost* until much more recently with the rise of the Empire. Palpatine abandoned At Attin to be run by the droids, but he notified them of Order66 just to make sure no Jedi could shelter there.

It’s not really clear when At Attin is from. It doesn’t make sense if it was immediately pre Empire bc of how isolated they were, plus a 20 year old currency wouldn’t be that valuable. But if they were super old, why are they still connected to recent republic broadcasts?

@ianterrellbrown In Star Wars, currency is essentially a galaxy wide thing. When the Republic fell, there were Imperial credits. When the Empire fell and the New Republic took its place, there was yet another galactic currency. Skeleton Crew takes place after the New Republic has been founded, and the Republic itself is far older than just the prequel era. In fact, the High Republic era isn't a different Republic. It's the same Republic, just much older. And any credits from that government, regardless of when they were made, are considered old. But also extremely valuable.

I think it is far more likely that Jod was discovered by a Jedi on the run AFTER Order 66 (given how he described her). Interesting is, that everything of modern StarWars somehow goes back to StarWars Rebels: Jod is basically what could have become of Ezra if during the first season of Rebels Kanan (and the others of the Ghost Crew) would have died EDIT: Wow, based on something you said later in the episode it might be that you haven't watched Rebels (or you simply forgot about an episode). If you haven't watched Rebels I would highly recommend it. I think it is a great show (except for some more serious moments that aren't that well written/directed) and it has so much world building, especially for basically every modern StarWars Project (even this show) EDIT_2: Just read that you did watch Rebels but forgot that episode. Shame, I would have loved a Rebels reaction by you but ... I do remember you had a lot of great Rebels knowledge in Ahsoka but I was not sure if you just knew that without actually having watched the show

I dont think Jod was recruited before order 66, he says the jedi who found him was just as raggen and desperate as he was, so she was probably a survivor of order 66 and was now on the run in hiding when she found him. And when he says "they hunted her down" i beleive he was referring to the inquisitors. Edit: just watched the discussion, and you bring this up. However i dont think jod couldve used the force to get himself out of the airlock, he knows the basics, but he definitely doesnt have mastery of it or else he couldve prevented them from pulling the lever and opening the barrier.
@greentechgiraffeКүн бұрын
Only one issue with what the Supervisor said… if the last thing the Republic said to this planet was “Order 66” than isnt that after Episode 3 so the Galactic Empire was run by the emperor. Why wouldnt they still want to use the mint? At least until the end of episode 6 when it became the New Republic?
@Omn1MediaКүн бұрын
I think they only got that because it was broadcast system wide, likely on every known channel so they may have gotten it without the Empire knowing of their existence.
@greentechgiraffeКүн бұрын
well then who was in charge of them is the real mystery if not the Republic themselves? Thanks for the great reaction… what a great series it was!!
@SergioLeRouxКүн бұрын
It was probably only on a need-to-know basis, and whatever agency that knew about At Attin was destroyed by the Empire takeover. Plus the Empire didn't seem to have a use for a Republic mint since they switched to imperial credits anyway...
@joluotoКүн бұрын
My theory is because they lacked the ship, because Rennod stole it, they lacked the coordinates because Rennod and Sm33 destroyed them on the other Mint planets, and they lacked the Emissaries who knew how to get there, possibly because they were Jedi. The other Mints seem to have fallen though, I think the Empire got to those, but just emptied them, destroyed the barriers and the equipment and left. Remember the Empire reformed the currency, so they would not need the Mints to remain operational. Also on At Achron it seemed the Supervisor was a person not a droid (the statue), which means he simply might have followed orders and let the Empire in, while the droid Supervisor on At Attin ignored it, because was not from the Republic, and thus it was not programmed to aknowledge.

This episode was great but I feel like its lacking an ending.They didn't show us what happend to Jod(Was he caught?),or establish the ,,new normal" for the kids after all they've been through to close out this story.Also we didn't see any major consequences for destroying the Barrier and reavaling At Attin to the galaxy and I doubt we will in the future if this show doesn't get renewed
@robpreston5692Күн бұрын
In a way, I kind of liked that they didn't answer those types of questions. They wrapped up this self-contained story. If there is a season 2, that creative team will be able to, more easily, take the story in a direction that flows better with what they want to do. They can be the ones to decide what happened to Jod immediately after this and how the galaxy copes with this new Treasure Planet. I'm glad they didn't canonize things like that haphazardly now, that would later have to be written around to tell the next adventure.
