Skeleton crew was amazing. It stuck the landing from the first episode to the last episode. I thought was a great story. I have said this from the very beginning. You don’t need like an over arching one not bad guy. In his story, the adventure was the villain. Them leaving the planet going from planet to planet running into Jod and thePirates. The other planets ( their own planet) everything has been the Villain.

The show-runners have recently stated that if they get a second season, they already have an idea of the story and that it will factor-in the kids growing up and the inevitable time jump. They specifically mentioned Stranger Things as something they will like to avoid doing (ie kids growing up but characters not)
@kblixt6 сағат бұрын
Skeleton Crew really struck a chord with me because it perfectly captures that blend of adventure and the awkwardness of growing up in the Star Wars universe. These kids aren’t just dodging blasters; they’re on a quest to figure out who they are and where they fit in, which is something we all can relate to. Watching them navigate their challenges and build those crucial friendships reminded me of what makes the galaxy so special, it’s all about connection. And Jude Law? He’s like that cool older mentor who’s a bit of a mess but always shows up when it matters

@@MrElfyrion I think it should follow Jod. Even if animated, he should get a Rebels type of show. I was thinking it should be him finding another small hodge podge crew to go on adventures with. Watching Jod, he always sees things in the negative, but it's a survival instinct. When he said, She's never gonna make it, about KB, when her ship was crash landing, I believe he was genuinely concerned. I also believe that he never had any intention of killing the parents. If Wim would've pulled that lever, I do not think Jod would've killed Wendall.
@JadeDeCosta59 минут бұрын
Agree if Jod wanted to kill any of them he absolutely could have. I knew that at his core it wasn’t in his nature. This was clearly evident when he made sure to not step on the rat but rather gently move it out of his path. These are choices that show who he really is even though he presents himself as being ready to kill. Don’t get me wrong he’d kill one of them if he truly felt his own life was on the line but this was a heist not an assassination. That’s also why he dropped his gun. He could have shot Wim. Wim probably would not have been able to block the blast with the light saber. But Jod at his core doesn’t want any of them to get hurt so he concedes. And, maybe it was also a bit of CYA in that if he’s caught he has no blood on his hands (other than what the other pirates ransacked because he allowed them entry). I get the feeling he can maneuver his way out of anything. Survivors instincts.

It's so important so it should be well protected by the new republic, and now they have the stars and a whole galaxy that's opened to them. I really like what we got of Jod's back story. Trained by a Jedi survivor that was eventually hunted down. Pretty tragic.

So Jod was the padawan of a Jedi who survived the initial purge before the Empire killed her right in front f his eyes. Also that smile at the end. Was that a Eno Cordova moment: "hope will always survive in those who continue to fight" ? Like is Jod happy to be proven wrong? Also what a open ending. Really makes me thinking they are hoping for a season 2.

i could see a series where the kids are just joining the workforce but are unsatisfied with the mundane experiences they have since this pirate invasion. and so one of them ends up finding some threads to a conspiracy plot about secretly funneling funds from the planet to empire remnants/first order. and they would recruit jod due to his connections. something like that. or a series that follows jod instead struggling between not necessarily being a bad person but still doing selfish things to ensure his own survival. a "i'm not a bad person but i've done some bad things" kind of vibe and coming out of it with a friend or someone he can trust.

I think it was a good idea not to have and particular known characters show up, it might lock them into a timeline that could limit where a second season (with now older actors) would fall. The pirate from Mando was inconsequential in this show, we don't even know if this was before his Mando appearance or, if after, how long. A second season could bring them into the larger known scene.

Jon Watts and Christopher Ford are hopeful about a second season of Skeleton Crew, having already brainstormed potential storylines. While they're excited about the possibility, Disney+ hasn't officially greenlit another season yet. The creators want to ensure the first season tells a complete story, but they've definitely been dreaming up future narrative directions. With the show receiving positive reviews - including a 91% critics' score - there's reason to be optimistic. Right now, they're in a waiting phase, keeping their ideas warm but not pushing too hard until they get more clarity from the studio.

Great reactions, gentlemen! 💜 It's been a lot of fun and I need more! I hope we get to watch the kids in other projects because they were amazing. Loved Jude Law very much as Jod. I don't think Jod was actually evil. A jerk, yes but not evil. He had lost everything. Even his hope. He just wanted to have some sense of power and be rich and live a good life (and was ultimately jealous of the kids who had it all in his eyes) and he didn't believe there was any "good guys" in the galaxy since he lost so much and no one saved him when he was a kid. I think he smiled when he realized he was wrong all along when he saw what the kids had managed to do, to get the New Republic there to save them all from the pirates. I also don't think he wanted to kill anyone and especially not the kids (his reaction to KB going down was accusatory, and he obviously felt guilt in that moment so he lashed out) or their parents. He could have killed all of them many times. His tactic was only intimidation which worked because he was unpredictable to the kids and the parents. He could slice up SM-33 as an example because he could be fixed later. The only one he might have wanted to kill was Brutus but only because Brutus wanted to kill him so bad. There he really had no choice if he wanted his plan to work and survive. I love this show because it made me feel like a kid again and it was a lot of nostalgia and fun callbacks + good representation of what a disability could look like. I have enjoyed it very much! I wish I could watch it with my dad but sadly I can not. I'm sure that he would have loved it too. #FuckCancer #MayTheForceBeWithYou

They never made The Goonies 2, but Skeleton Crew is Disney... So yes : THE SKELETON CREW WILL RETURN, too, for sure! (Like Jod Na Nawood.) What would I want? I honestly don't know. But whatever it is, I hope it improves, not looses footing, because I feel I lost interest in The Mandalorian real quick. Mando s1 was a blast, s2 was ok, I haven't even seen season 3 yet, to be honest. (Book of Boba Fett was disappointing, Ahsoka wasn't all it could have been, and Acolyte lost me at episode 4, although the fight scenes were amazing until the end, but the writing was awful...) Andor we're all pumped for... Ahsoka s2 ? ... Idk, honestly, but yes, I'll watch it, I guess. Skeleton Crew s2 : Do I want it? I don't think it's extremely necessary, but I'm sure we'll see these characters again. If in a season 2, it better be good! If it's to be meh, better not, Idk... But we'll see. I think these kids have, very deservedly, won a lot of good will from the public (except a few less cool youtubers). That's a great thing. I want Wim in the New Republic: A fighter pilot, whatever: Go to the Academy, Wim! Maybe Fern as well. KB will be a genius scientist/engineer. Neel has to go into the Senate, for sure. Unfortunately, it all ends in the First Order, though, and I hope Neel survives the destruction of the New Republic capital (in Episode VII...) These kids are maybe a couple of years older than Ben Solo, right? 5 years after RotJ, Ben will be like 4 yo, like Neel's little brothers... With these actors, we can have their teen years. It's just that Lucas Film/Disney has to find out what to do with them, what stories to tell. It can't be pirates again, I don't think... And there's Jod. I don't know if I need them with those kids (then teens) again, but maybe he remembers them, gets his sack of gold, goes away, but is haunted by the fact that maybe the will of the Force is for him to become a good man. I would like him to, somehow, become able to see the force ghost of his Jedi benefactor lady... I changed my mind, because then she tells him: "Jod, you have to go back to Wim: he needs you..." And then Jod realizes that he needed Wim as well, to be healed of his trauma. Ideas Ideas Ideas ... (great fun!) I love Skeleton Crew. To me, it's the perfect balance to Andor. There are a few Star Wars fans that consider themselves hardcore, and put Andor on a pedestal, but (yes, Andor is very, very good, but) it lacks -- as it shoud -- Jedi. Skeleton Crew balances even that. There are no Jedi in this series, and yet the light of the Jedi is in it. So yes: Skeleton Crew and Andor are my top things now. Which means two rewatches per year! 😄❤️

I'll add my ending, same ending but (if were leaning to showing these kids what's actually out there, lets go hard) the rebels come flying in, attacking the pirates. But Jude Law still keeping our main characters held, as you hear another message from the owl to B5 saying she's sending her best pirate hunters as you see an extra fleet swooping in including Mando with baby Yoda. Now Wim and the gang don't actually meet Mando as much as they watch him in action (like wow who is this space knight)...also giving us a nice one on one action scene Btwn Mando & Jude Law. Somehow defeating him, maybe w a little help from Grogu then arresting him. As he's being taken away...perhaps after the kids reunite with B5, they see Mando taking him away and also briefly meet Grogu. officially throwing them into the new Disney/Star Wars world that we know of... Now if there's any further story involving Mando, (aside from the movie that's probably already filmed) it would be cool that they exist in each others universe based on any connection with Jude Law, maybe Mando needing the help of these kids....and we know Papa Pedro luv the kids!
