Seeing 2 kids in a Star Wars show pretending to fight with lightsabers is the most adorable thing I’ve seen in Star Wars ever, besides anything Grogu does.

I love At Attin. It’s basically a time capsule of the 80’s nostalgia. I can easily see the treasure was the friends we made along the way.

My theory about At Attin is that, b/c of the barrier or maybe their location or whatever reason, it wasn't touched by the Empire and Rebellion conflict.

@@StarWarsSquad Thanks Smasher! Also, I think that's kind of a hidden meaning behind "skeleton" in Skeleton Crew. It doesn't just refer to a bare bones crew, I think it implies that the character or characters as well as this universe has skeletons, ie, secrets.

The mystery of their home reminds me of how unaware some of the inhabitants of the vaults were in Fallout.

Wim’s relationship with his dad reminded of the Neverending Story and the father son relationship in that film. Gerald McRaney played the dad. I feel like it’s a direct inspiration.

The one thing leaning toward Jod Na being a legit Force user was that they specifically referenced the Force theme. I believe, outside of the Obi-Wan series, this is the only time they've used the theme in any of the shows. (I don't recall them using it in 'The Acolyte' or with Luke in 'The Book of Boba Fett' or specifically in 'Ahsoka'. Might be wrong.)

IALWAYS knew Skeleton Crew was going to be awesome :) - just by knowing who was behind it. Jon Watts knows exactly what he's doing, and he's fantastic with working with stories of young people and making them likablem relatable and hysterical - all at the same time. If you haven't seen the first two episodes - WHAT ARE YOU DOING??!!! Get on it. Immediately.

I said this over on the ForceCenter, but if something happens to Neel, I will burn worlds down. It will be my villain/Sith origin story and it'll make what Vader and Kylo did look like a backyard bbq. 😝😅

The guy getting a tattoo in Port Borgo had the hutt cartel logo. A good start to the show. If they are going to continue with shorter episodes, I hope they keep it tight and stick to the kids story. Enjoyer the series, off to a good start, hope they can stick the landing.

Because of the reputation of mediocrity D+ created for itself I'm extremely skeptical of anything they make. That said, I was pleasantly surprised by _Skeleton Crew's_ writing and performances. It hasn't been since _Andor_ that I didn't feel intellectually insulted by a Disney+ series. At Attin? I suspect it'll be a metaphor for American suburban culture relative to the US regime.

I disagree about the "heart of gold" of the woman, Rocha... the text leaves it very ambiguous: she can be trying to help them _or_ as is Fern's perception, she may be trying to kidnap them herself... I unadvisedly saw spoilery material on the internet (which I won't reveal here, of course) which gives me a hint on what happens with Jod and the possible Force thing. It's out there, but kinda subtle... 😅 And, anyway, we will see it soon, it is a short series: is it 8 eps, I guess? It's funny that Rocha calls Jod with the middle name (or preposition???)... Jod Na Nawood gives me a vibe of Jod of Nawood. But I could be completely wrong, and Na could be a middle name, a family name or whatever. 😉 I love Skeleton Crew already! 🙂 I hope it goes strong to the end but : I have a _good_ feeling about this.

I felt like episode 1 was like the first 15, 20 minutes of a movie where the movie/show is setting up the characters, the world, etc. And, b/c of that, I feel like it's necessary and functional (and still fun), I grade episodes 1 & 2 both a B.
