My wife was like, "Why did he have Neel pilot the ship?" So I realized that since Neel has zero fuggin clue how to fly, his movements will be the most erratic and unpredictable to keep the X Wings from successfully hitting them.

Also, also, as much as I love the mystery of At Attin and who Jod may be (even if he claims he's not a Jedi though the show did a total reverse psychology on me and I wondered if Jod said that just to get the kids to back off and my brain went back and forth about it), I'm also curious to see what the story is behind the ship. Yeah, the two guys on board killed each other, but why was it there, how did it get there, etc. That's a mystery I want to know the answers too, as well.

I think we all need to appreciate the production quality of this show. It looks like an expensive movie. Every environment is dense and unique. Dune Prophecy for example, a show which I really like, looks like tv series and you can see the limited budget on screen. SC is several levels of quality above that.

Haven't seen any YT Reviewer mention 2 important nuggets from the opening scene of Ep 3: 1. One of KB's Moms, in response to the "Supervisor" not helping them, mentions KB has a medical condition then 2. The Robot reminds the Parents (as the camera focuses on Wim's Dad taking his glasses off) there are consequences for violating security protocols to stay within the Barrier. I like how the narratives are progressing in this series so far 👌🏽

Thanks for the creative energies and in particular MV’s bombastic displays of Star Wars lore that you both brought to the table this week. As a fan , I can say that the annual tribute I pay to Disney + for not-to-be-missed Lucasfilm productions is truly well spent. I am unreservedly entertained. Catch you for episode 4 review.

Good to hear your review. The pirates will need to find the Onyx Cinder. I'm guessing they placed some sort of tracking device on the ship. This show has established early that the goal of the kids is to make it home. Along with the mystery of At Attin. Other Star Wars shows have failed to establish the direction of the show early on.

A couple quick things: 1. I saw in a review somewhere (I wish I could remember where) the idea that SM33 was ordered or programmed to never reveal anything about - or even name - Att-Attn. Think how often he says “can’t say” or “somewhere”. 2. Jedi weren’t just trained at the Jedi Temple - some were trained on other worlds. And think of the implications of removing children from their families to keep them from having any emotional bonds. So what happened to any young children who weren’t killed or captured by the Empire. Talk about being lost and alone - what would they have to do to survive? 3. What happened to people on Att-Attn who asked questions? 4. Golly gee, now that the New Republic knows about them - kids in danger, possibly from a mythic treasure planet, with and maybe tracked by pirates - with the New Republic’s limited resources, it’s too bad they don’t have their own, trustworthy bounty hunters. Oh wait…

Also, even if people do perceive Skeleton Crew and Andor to have different stories/tones, what's the problem with that? I feel Star Wars is large enough to accommodate all types of storytelling and, to me, this expands the universe of Star Wars rather than going back to familiar territory too frequently and shrinking it.

The owl reminds me of the Disney classic The Sword and the Stone when the owl took over Arthur’s education from Merlin. Arthur didn’t know anything about the outside world either. The room looks similar and owl is flying around pulling books from everywhere.

I believe that most all of their planet didn't know that the Republic fell and a New Republic started with a war happening in between. Their planet was basically cut off from the rest of the galaxy. That is my working theory at the moment. This show is so much better than The Acolyte at the moment, so can we have Watts go back and do that show also?

I hope not and I don't think At Attin has anything with the abomination of "somehow Palpatine returns" BUT if it has, I swear it! : I will not watch anything else but whatever Tony Gilroy puts out, until his stuff gets currupted too. 😑😑😑 But I don't think At Attin was reacheable by the Empire. The owl creature said: "missed the war? interesting..." At some point, all these lost planets got destroyed, and somehow At Attin managed to erase from the old Republic every trace of its location, and become isolated. So, I don't think the Empire could find it either.

Vogel keeps saying he loves the quickness of this show, the speed at which it unfolds, and it makes me legitimately sad. First, I lump Star Wars and Marvel together in terms of vibe. Second, it makes me sad, because he and I am sure so, so, so many others have been traumatized by bad, terrible writing and they don't even know it. This is the normal pace for a show, its not quick. This show may actually still end up being slow. They need to get back to At Attin by 5, no later than 6, and if 6, start of episode, followed by uncovering the mystery of At Attin, so 7 and 8 can be the full on Pirate assault of At Attin. They may unfortunately try to stretch this and not have us even arrive at At Attin until 8. Thats one of the reason Acolyte and Boba Fett were so garbagio. Two episodes worth of plot over stuffed with worthless detail and scenes as to fill a season. You may remember me from my burning passionate hatred for flashbacks, and this show and the lack thereof, so far, is why I hate flashbacks. They kill pacing, they slow the story down in a multitude of ways. The scene with the map, is a perfect example, Kh'ymm explains to them what happened, while continuing the current plot of trying to make them a card. Other Star Wars shows, would have stopped the plot, gone back and showed some overly and cringely bad scene of people screaming as a planet blew up or whatever, like who cares, they aren't here now, we get it. Tell me the backstory, Show me the actual story. So far, this show has been nothing but great, so much drastically better than Andor or Acolyte. I'm a little worried they'll still try to slip a flashback into this thing, but if they can avoid it, it will be unquestionably the best D+ Star Wars show they've done. If there is a flashback, it will have to have its egregiousness measured against Mando S1 Flashback. But no matter what its top two. One of the best parts of this episode is the sleep scene on the ship. Space Travel takes time. Its like the Luke training scene, Spaceships are peoples homes, RVs, basecamps, its nice to see that.
