I’m a 60 year old dude, and I loved it. I felt like a 13 year old kid again seeing Star Wars for the first time in ‘77! Just wished there was some kinda nice reveal. Hell, at least Carson Teva in one of the X-wings!

I think it would have been a fun twist if it turned out that the "help" the owl alien was calling was actually an imperial garrison, because At Attin lies within Imperial Remnant space. It would have been awesome to see a squadron of tie fighters show up and trash the pirates, only for Jod to tell the children how big a mistake they just made.

Great season 2 idea…if we get one. The way the ending ended, that’s still a possibility. Joe did warn them, and that’s kind of what I thought was implied. The diplomatic ship at the end did look at little too beat up. I thought Kymm was part of a group of worse pirates, but the imperial remnant makes more sense…frightening so.

@@namehereandthere It would have been a stretch considering its approximate distance from NR space but as a snatch and grab to build towards the first order would have been ok, iu say ok because i still want a timeline reversal xD at this point gimme time travel, send ahsoka back to stop it all and then bugger off out the story again like in clone wars. But atleast it would have set up a season 2 for this show while we wait for it lol. a few years ago I was on the fence with introducing time travel into star wars but at this point its more a plaster that needs to just be ripped off haha, get it done and dusted, start again with tv shows like this in mind and they might actually get somewhere. As for Jod though, he isnt dead. the pirates seemed to have mainly survived so maybe their idea is that season 2 the republic gets pwned by the remnants, at attin becomes imperial and is why the NR wont acknowledge them as a threat and maybe the loss will be covered up and the people left to the remnant faction.

8 out of 10 for me. I’m 37 and really enjoyed this. The only real change I’d make it adding a few more episodes to develop the characters a little more and maybe show more of the other planets they visited. But if they make a season 2 I’m definitely watching it!

The Supervisor says the last message received was the Jedi were all traitors. So did Palpatine know about At-Attin?

When Palpatine issued Order 66, the entire galaxy recieved notification of the Jedi's treason. This occured through all the standard galactic channels and networks of communication, so I don't think we can say one way or the other if Palpatine knew, because At Attin was obviously connected to the Republic up to that point (since they recieved the notification). HOWEVER, the fact it was left alone and its wealth not used by the Empire, would indicate Palpatine didn't know. Which doesn't make sense, because as Supreme Chancellor, he absolutely would've known about and been informed of their mints. I know Palpatine had an OBSCENE amount of personal wealth through the Bane Line Sith, which was increased via Plaguies' Banking Clan connections, but he still wouldn't of ignored so much right at his fingertips. I feel like that is a plot hole. There's NO WAY Palpatine wouldn't have known as Chancellor, yet there seems to be no explanation why he would ignore it during his reign as Emporer. Just my thoughts on this particular area of the show.

@@JadusMoltriel Agreed. That was the single line in the whole show that really irritated me. We know from Rebels that the Empire still uses Republic naval codes (Rex tells us as much) so if the Republic knew about At Attin then surely the Empire would have as well. So somewhere down the line the Republic must have forgotten about it (Would check out considering the state of At Achran and how much Tak Rennods hideout had changed). But if they had then... whats up with the transmission having been received?

With that information being lost no one knew about At-attin hence why the supervisor said we haven’t had anyone come here in a long time. So yes palp sent order 66 across all feasible lines of communication probably not knowing where each line went. The galaxy is massive so it’s very possible that in the chaos of war and shit Information got lost and never was passed down

Interesting thought. Though as pointed out Palpatine would have used it if he knew about it. I think it could be possible Darth Revan gave the order during the Jedi Civil War after he ceased the planet. Then after, Revan put the barrier up which is why the planet was never found again.

I put all judgment aside and just watch as if I was kid again and loved it. The show achieve to me what George wanted for kids adventure, fun and hope ! Most of time I'm very critical of Star Wars when Disney bought the franchise. 10 out 10 for me. I want a second season with them on adventures as kids will do "TO EXPLORE AND QUESTION"

They still managed to inject their 'not so secret' agenda into the show by making it so that one of the kids had two mothers. It’s essentially like a craving at this point - no matter what, they _need_ to insert the foreign substance into even 'good' or at the least palatable content, and the source of the addiction is black rock money. 😔

It’s was an incredible show - I’m 47 and love Star Wars as far back as I can remember The fact that this show just captured the joy and magic - amazing My wife and 10yr and 6yr daughters loved it too, we were dying every Tuesday for the next episode to be uploaded! And I must admit I may have swore out loud twice on the last episode! And couldn’t help but have a tear of joy at seeing the X-Wings arrive above the city

I am 55 yrs old and for me, my favorite part of this episode was Wimms Dads reaction to crossing the ravine on the speeders. This series has been such a breath of fresh air for Star Wars. I loved the darkness of The Bad Batch but this was so refreshingly fun.

I'm 58 and I couldn't have loved this more. Not only did it give the same feeling I had when I saw Star Wars in 1977 opening weekend at my local midwest theater, but the style, look, plotline and mood of the whole thing respectfully evoked memories of movies I grew up with, E.T., Goonies, Stand By Me, etc. Triumphant "return" of Star Wars after a decidedly low period. I hope more people discover this so we can put The Acolyte behind us. Great channel too. I really enjoy your commentary.

If Star Wars was a very good brand still, this should would had been decently Popular. But it's so niche, that people wouldnt be interrested much in it unless it was flavor of the month. Disney made so many bad decisions that it damaged the whole release schedule and bad shows are just adding strikes against the little that is still decent. In the end, it just adds up and it kills it. Like I said on another video, show's audience doesnt have the attention span required for a weekly episode.

I wasn't planning on watching it until I seen a video of yours saying that it was actually pretty decent, so i jumped in and I loved it! You can see the inspirations for some of the scenes throughout show like The Goonies, Hook, and indiana jones which I think are perfect to draw from. The part of the finale I had an issue with at first was the pirate “invasion”. I was scratching my head like why aren’t they going straight for the vaults. They cleared it up later in the episode when Jod said not to harm everyone so they can keep working to make credits. But one vault was stuffed to the max with credits, and there were 1139 vaults in total. Just load up everything you can cram into the ships and get the heck outta there! To me that would’ve been more of a pirate mentality. 🤷

Here is something you people are not quite understanding. You say this show is great for 8 - 10 year olds. 8 - 10 year olds think Star Wars, altogether, is stupid. They do not like it. It does not matter if it's the Ahsoka show, Acolyte, or Skeleton Crew. The viewership is mostly millennials. There are no children in the Star Wars sections of Walmart or Target. And at the LEGO store, the kids usually are in the City, Mario, Minecraft, Friends, or Ninjago sections. This is why the franchise is cooked. It is not just because it has been bad for so long under Disney, but Disney has not been able to attract kids to Star Wars; even young boys. This is now a Boomer franchise. Like He-Man, GI Joe, and Star Trek.

Probably an unpopular opinion but I could see Jod on a path like Kyle Katarn. Kyle was a storm trooper that was force sensitive, maybe they could take Jod down a similar path since he was smiling at the end. Maybe explaining what happened to him opened him to possibilities of a different life outside of piracy. I won’t drop spoilers but his monologue at the end was interesting.

I enjoyed this show and it was fun for me. I'm now 51 and considering I'm a Goonies and E.T. type of guy it felt fun for me and I looked forward to every Tuesday at 6pm to watch. Now it's over and it's done. Sniff Sniff. This series was very different and a change from the Star Wars universe so I appreciate it for what it is. I give it a Thumbs UP all the way.

Skeleton Crew is, by far, the best Disney has done in a long while and the first time since Rogue One I felt like I was watching Star Wars and not some sad filth. This is a great TV show and it would be very sad if they'd did not make 2-3 more seasons of this. There is so much to do here, and so much roads this show can take. Just keep Darth KK away from it.

I really don’t want a redemption arc for Jod. I don’t want him to be a cartoon villain and be solely bad, but I like him being morally grey. You see conflict in him with the kids, but he has also learned that he has to look out for himself first. We don’t need it tidied into a clean bow where he is homogenized. A tragic hero is ok and fits the long practice of Star Wars pulling from archetypes.

Great series, enjoyed every bit. Gotta admit I get excited every time there is a hint of space combat; to me, the X-Wing engine sound is like the Merlin engine of the Spitfire and Hurricane, it's such a distinctive sound and it sends shivers up my spine whenever I hear it :D Got a big smile on my face when the B-Wings showed up and actually did something.

The ending works because it's fine a fine ending if they get cancelled or forgotten from there. There's also lots of bread crumbs to make a season 2. Or they have the characters introduced and can use them in other movies/shows.

I mean, i just looked up the ratings: 91%/80% on rotten tomatoes, and 7.2 on IMDB. So def looking high. Now if the viewership has fallen, i can understand that, but still not a bad rating

I think if disney Now would do everything of this qualatiy maybe even better ( without plotarmor everywhere ), i think trust can be earnend back slowly thru out the years. not now maybe 5 years condidering the damage that was done.

I loved the first 7 episodes. It felt like it should have had 9 or 10 episodes. Episode 8 looked expensive, but it didn’t land for me. The girl who played Fern is the MVP of all the actors, though. I'd love a season 2.

Solid 7.5 meant for kids mostly but nice story. I have 2 little ones and to be honest i dunno if id watch it again but it was worth watching once through.

This would never happen but it’s a nice thought that the New Republic at the end was specifically Rogue Squadron and this tied into a series based on the Legends X-Wing novels. It’d be neat to open up with the aftermath of this, introduce the squadron as they land and meet the inhabitants of the planet and things transition away from the kids and to the New Republic’s view of handling At Attin and the pirates. Then move on to other plot points, and so on and so forth.

I thought ahsoka was really good, it had its flaws but it was good imo. The only ones I've thought were good was ahsoka, andor and skeleton crew. Obi wan wasn't as bad as people say it is I believe, it wasn't great but it wasn't as bad as it's made out to be

Ahsoka has some cool moments but there really is zero substance there and the dialogue is just awful. It really isn’t a good show.

@@joshhudson7413 Baylan’s dialogue is decent and sometimes really interesting, but unfortunately he is just one character and does not have that much screen time per episode, maybe 1 or 2 scenes if we’re lucky per. 80% or more of the show is spent with characters like Ahsoka, Sabine, Ezra, Hera, and whatever randoms, none of which have any dialogue that’s truly meaningful or well acted really. It’s all extremely flat. If you can’t recognize that I’m happy for you. As for Thrawn. Yes his dialogue is engaging and well acted. It’s very charismatic. However his character is completely butchered. He fails pretty much every step of the way and comes this close to losing to three people. It’s not even all his fault but rather the plot armor of the main cast, but still. Would’ve been nice to see a single clever Thrawn move. He’s my favorite Star Wars character ever, I’ve read almost every novel he’s appeared in, EU and canon. He wouldn’t let it get this close.

@joshhudson7413 baylan was fantastic, all the clone wars flashback scenes were really good. Sabine was the main thing that took away from the show imo. The majority of the ahsoka, Hati, and baylan was solid

@ Ahsoka and Hati had next to nothing to work with at all. Ashoka’s entire arc is focused on Sabine which is the problem. The clone wars episode is the only one focused on Ahsoka and yes the flashbacks are cool, however there is no meaning behind any of it. What is the point? Ahsoka had no unresolved trauma after rebels. She made peace with anakins fall to Vader. And anakins “final lesson” is that she has to choose to live and not die? It’s shoehorned in because they needed some reason to put all those flashbacks in there.

what you said brother! right around 3 minutes and 35 seconds. Its lighthearted and doesn't change the lore and that makes it good. Which is sad to measure it by that stat if you think about it. It has to be within the lore for us to like it now because Disney has done such a bang up job breaking it. what a low bar.

We enjoyed this show so much! Jude Law carried the show and the writing was very well done. They did a great job with the character development of the children too.

This could be the en future of the franchise. These kids are brilliant actors and I think that we feel for this bunch and could get invested in them going forwards. This is a brilliant show for Star Wars.more of this Disney more of this.
