I was just six years old when I first watched Star Wars: A New Hope in 1977. My parents and brothers and I eagerly waited online, hoping to secure a spot to watch it at the 86th Street theater in New York City. That movie has been a part of my life ever since. I’m 53 now, and my feelings about Star Wars, especially that final scene, remain unchanged. I had the same reaction as you the moment the X-Wing flew in I felt that it was Luke Skywalker and I immediately began to get emotional at that point, it felt like I was transported back to my six-year-old self. I’m not sure if others can comprehend the deep emotional connection that some of us fans have to this franchise. It has shaped the morals that guide us today and influence our daily lives. So at 53 years old military disabled veteran, I will always be a Jedi, may the force be with you always.

Theory it’s ok to be excited.

It makes me wonder too how this show fits into the larger New Republic era story. I know they’ve been doing a lot of setting up Palpatine stuff like with the Mandalorian and Bad Batch. What I want to see is a New Republic show and an animated show. Let’s really explore this era and tell hero stories. Before the dark times, before the Sequels, when our heroes were deadbeats, failures, and cynics. I know they’re starting that with the new comic books. I want to see it on screen though.

I considered watching Skeleton Crew with my kindergartener, however the 1st episode would be too violent for her. I continue to watch on my own.

My wife and I are both really e joying the show so far, it's something different and entertaining. Love seeing so many different characters in the show as well.

The Haus of Maus still isn't getting a penny from me, but it's a hopeful sign that they are capable of making something that viewers are enjoying for the plot and lore, rather than cringing over identity and modern-dayisms. Happiness is best piness.

I can’t call myself a Star Wars fan as I’m not well versed in anything concerning it, but I watched the OT in 2017, and the prequels in 2020, and this finale dropped on my birthday, my reaction was not as extreme but watching this reaction I actually felt tears welling up when he started crying, I kinda understand the feeling.

It doesn't matter if this show is good or not, Disney already ruined the franchise. Anything that happens before and after the original 6 movies is unwatchable (plus the Solo movie).

Perfect show for Christmas time, really? This show isn't Star Wars. Yes, the episode had one tender moment when Jod Na Nawood negotiated for the release of the kids with the herd. So now we go from "Goonies in Space" to Star Trek". Where these other planets had the same beginning, but at one point diverged from At Attin. Are we starting to accept KK's vision of Star Wars? Is the Force Female and now childlike where there's no Jedis and Siths or the difference between good and evil. We didn't see too much of the other warring faction. This show is mediocre at best, but I guess as opposed to "Ahsoka" and "The Acolyte" its tolerable. I didn't watch "The Acolyte", but when this season ends, I'm done with Disney Star Wars. It's a tragedy how KK and her cronies have ruined and destroyed this franchise. Will it make the top ten originals this week? We'll have to wait and see. I couldn't disagree more on how this series is getting praise. We always have children lead forces into battle. What a joke this show is!
