As someone who has attempted Hardcore infernum, I have to say that it is quite the challenge! I surprised myself by making it all the way to DoG being a ranger before failing (DoG had to be the most difficult part because of his insane damage and attack patterns) but beating every boss feels super satisfying since it feels like you’ve truly learned the fight

I'm not mad or anything but buying potions from an npc for 30 stack infinite buff kind of removes some risk of death, you don't have to search hell for fireblossoms, kill harpy for gravitation. When you have to build a fish pond in each biome for buff potions there is risk of death while doing so. + you have zero use for the alchemist table from the dungeon. Chat probably just want to watch you fight bosses.

Back when I used to play calamity non stop I had a few hardcore attempts, one of which I got to golem but then made a stupid error in the abyss while getting scornia that lead to my death by a reaper shark, however my best attempt was when I got all the way to scal but then died when she was on 7.8% hp. It sucked and was one of the main reasons why I stopped playing terraria for a year and a half. However I recently got back into the game and I think this has given me the motivation to have a go at hardcore again.
