Thank you for the frequent reminders that we are not cameras and we don't have to include every single detail that our eyes can see, and especially don't have to include every person in the scene! I am adding my artistic license to my little bag along with my waterbrushes and watercolor box. 😊

While you dont draw from a photo. Its certainly very interesting to see the photo, to see what you leave in your drawing and what you exclude. Another great video - thank you 🙂

I particularly love the foreground of all your works, the coffee & bite !! So realistically done. It enhances the effect of the background that you bring alive with quick strokes of your pen & brush.. In love with your art Becky 😍 Please give us many many more videos so we can learn more about your skills in 🎨 art 😘❤️

Hi dear Becky ! What an exquisite painting !! I would be scared to death even to attempt drawing this detailed architecture ! It really is beautiful,but I find it very daunting to even start ! I admire you for just taking up the challenge and work your way up and around every corner you have infront of you ! For us it seems effortless but I know it is due to hours and hours of practise !! Well done to you my Friend ! Keep up your energy to draw and to share your time and works with us ! I send you my warmest regards and a sincere hug.... Lorraine x💕🥰🤗🎨❤️

Love watching you work, and seeing how, bit by bit, the development of the final sketch. Just curious, do you remember how did the whole thing take? Also, do you paint on location or you leave it for later?
@BeckyCao Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I always finish everything on location. This whole thing took me 65 minutes to finish.

Oh my goodness Becky! We were just there! We loved the Crew Cafe. Sat in one of the private cubbies. Very interesting subject matter… it would have given me anxiety to draw that beautiful ceiling. Love it!! 🥰

Wow, Becky… you’re always out and about, where do you get the energy?? Beautiful buildings, interesting to see how different Montreal is from Vancouver. Thanks for taking us along. Will you ever visit/return to Vancouver again?

What color did you use for the skin? You really make the place come alive with simple tools.
@BeckyCao2 жыл бұрын
for the skin I used mix of red and orange and a bit brown, diluted with a lot of water. If it's too strong, it won't look like skin color.

What type of pens do you use so your water color paint doesn't bleed into pen marks on the paper?
@BeckyCao2 жыл бұрын
There are many waterproof pens in art supply stores: Winsor-Newton, Staedtler, Faber-Castell, Micron-sigma, etc.
