Hello! i love your videos. I would like to ask you why you like your 55 sailor fountain pen? I bought one!!! 😊
@XXjg_Күн бұрын
Good work. Respectfully, though, your work lacks shadow and shading. There is no clear indication where the light source is. It appears to be “everywhere”. There is one lightly shaded wall, but perspectively corresponding walls, rooftops, or trees, are not shaded. More awareness and application of the techniques of light and shadow can add depth to your good work and make it significantly better. Thanks for sharing your art journey.

Thank you Becky for the time you share with us, I really wish I lived in Vancouver to come and take classes with you. At every video I watch, I am amazed by your sketching skills and by the colours you lay down, you make it seem so easy and it really makes me want to go out more and practice ! You are very inspiring 😊

9 months later: Which fude nib sailor you prefer 40 or 55 degree nib? Your videos seems to feature mostly the green 55 degree pen. Love your videos and instagram posts BTW

I really loved this one! What a great way to spend time sketching and painting! Your sketch is so beautifully done- a cozy, charming and warm contrast with the cold rainy weather outside! I tried to include people in a cafe sketch I’m attempting and all of the heads are too big! So one of my first thoughts when you were drawing the people is how you always draw them in such perfect proportion! Sending you well wishes from Texas! Gloria

Nice Sketchbook review! Love all the yummy food images the best, but DuDu runs a very close second. I use the R&K Sketch Ink Lily dark brown color in my Sailor Fude Pen. It's waterproof and dries nice and fast. Thanks for the tip on what to look out for with the Noodler's inks. Cheers! 😊

I’ve recently stumbled onto your channel, and am really enjoying it! Question about the brown ink, do you use it for a specific reason or you just like it? Thanks!

This is so delightful, Becky, as I live o Vancouver Island I am familiar with Vancouver so I enjoy knowing of the areas you sketch. I love your illustrations and I think you could publish this as a book. I hope you do. I have shaky hands so my sketches are never as strong as yours. My lines are unavoidably wobbly. I loved seeing a Bunnykins mug in the early pages of your sketchbook.

Kia ora Becky. I also received the wrong Noodlers ink from Amazon. I returned it and they refunded. I had the same experience with another mail order company. I eventually got the correct #41 brown from a retailer on Ali Express. It’s annoying because deliveries to here, New Zealand, take so long.

How do you stay so thin eating alll of that food? I just love your channel. Your sketches are amazing. Someday I hope to be half as good as you. I have yet to bring a sketch book outside with me, WHen I was a kid I used to cartoon people in a bar. My boyfriend at the time was in a band and every weekend we used to go to that bar where me and the other girlfriends sat. I would bring my sketch book and cartoon what I saw. I still have those and they were fun. They remain a great memory of days past. I would like to start frequenting coffee bars like you do and sit and draw. Maybe when I officially retire.

I was one of the people who commented about my Noodlers not being waterproof. I did return it and got the correct ink. Thank you, Becky.

Thank you for showing us your lovely sketches Becky. I’ve recently bought the Sailer Fude pen and you helped me fill it with ink, thankyou for that too! The ink I’m using is the De Atramentis document ink. It’s waterproof and they do loads of different colours.😊

Hi Becky. I got some Bombay, sepia, India ink and its great. I use it with a dip pen and get great results. I had them for a long time and actually started using them in October. They have become my favorite supplies. Its a Speedball sketching pen set with 2 Penholders and 6 nibs. I highly recommend this pen and its less than $20 canadian.
