Update: They are wonderful!! They are so easy to use and I'm so glad I have them. 🤗 I will definitely be looking into purchasing a blending marker, but even without one I love them!

Using a good gesso might save your paper (just not the super cheap).

what is gwash? I hear it in several videos ... seems like a wash of some kind. Love you channel!

Gouache is similar to watercolor but it has more pigmentation. It can be painted in washes and built up on. It dries matte like acrylics. There's also acrylic gouache, which stays fixed after drying.

Importantly, gouache is more _opaque_ than watercolour due to the addition of calcium carbonate or chalk.

This picture is way too ....." realistic " in my life. My grandaughter's cat is HORRIBLE on houseplants. A friend gave me a swet little plant she started for me. She was so proud of herself for getting it to stay alive and to be able to give it to me. I was so thrilled with it I gave it a very special place where everyone would see it and enjoy it. Well, miss greedy and how dare you think you can have anything nice decided it was a salad served up for her pleasure alone. I haven't told my friend. I've also caught her in my chinese evergreen, but it's really big so she hasn't been able to kill it completely......yet. She also decided my huge pot of coleus was a much better choice then her litter box. I do not like cats anymore.

Cute painting you did, but I've come to determine that acrylic markers aren't for me. I'll stick to my heavy body acrylics. I like watering down my colors and building the layers that way.
