Yay! Someone else who likes to use the Sims as an OC tool! I struggle a lot with same face syndrome so it has helped me figure out how to differentiate their features! I also love using it as a reference for backgrounds in comics! Also your sketchbooks are amazing! I wish mine were as cohesive as yours! Beautiful work!

I'm amazed at the dimensions that you can put in your shading with just a singular colour with your hatching style. Colour combos are great too especially with your neon colours, I like what you do with Posca paints, you make the flat colours pop. Plus you create a beautiful form with your characters and their recognizable silhouettes. You know how to put in just the right amount of detail that makes it look real while creating your own style. Your Oc's are great characterizations so well done.

I am LOVING THE NUGG WITH THE CROWN like HELLO. But also, I am so in love with your use of color! That Hook painting is AMAZING and you're right-- he's FINE. You art just inspires me so much! There's something so magical about your sketches, each sketch is a mini masterpiece! I LOVED all of the Dragon Age characters flipping the bird and Cass just UGH. Also Lelianna surrounded by Nuggs is just about my favorite thing ever

ok, this is amazing. this entire thing. i have a question tho- i used a lechturum (or however u spell it) as a sketchbook and the paper was so thin, it was so hard to tolerate and i hated it. the paper from mine was so thin that i wouldnt be able to use alcohol markers or gouache or watercolor or acrylics or ANY of my favorites. but in this video it looks and sounds like the paper is thicker maybe? and you can use some of those supplies in urs. do you know what specific style of lechturum or paper weight? thanks so much and keep up the amaziing art

Oh I'm sorry to hear that! Leuchtturm do other types of books too, notebooks with lines, grids or blank, maybe it was one of these you used? The type I get are specifically labelled as Sketchbooks and the paper is now at 150 gsm so it's fairly thick and yeah can handle most things I throw at it 😁 I hope this helps 👍

Do you coat the pages with pencil sketches with something to prevent smudging or is the sketchbook just that good?

Yeah, I've started using Winsor & Newton Professional fixative spray, and when I'm working on a page that has a drawing on the other side, I put a spare piece of paper between that page and the other so that when I draw (coz I have a habit of pressing really hard) it won't transfer anything onto the other page 😊
