The fact that you have a sketchbook that spans 5 years makes me feel a lot better about my pacing. As much as I love frequent sketchbook tours, I think I relate more to those who take a longer while. My second sketchbook took me 10 years!! I'm on my third and the pacing is a lot better, but your video showed me the importance of taking your time and enjoying the process of growth. Thank you :)

I have like 5 active sketchbooks and about 10 more that only have a few pages filled bc they're only for specific stuff so I'm happy to see someone else who has lots of sketchbooks going at once

One thing I struggle a lot with sketchbooks is I am not consistent and I feel really bad when I leave it behind for too long. I tend to swap from trad to digital art and that leaves my sketchbook unused for very long sometimes. I feel too pressured and go, doodle around ugly things and then get frustrated becausd I just drew nonsense to "force myself to be consistent" Recently I 've started to try and stop overthinking it. It's hard but now almost all my art in the sketchbook has a meaning or an objective and just feels better. One thing I did is not writing down the date on the drawings anymore, and to work on it a bit more on it I'd try and redo an illustration I did on other media I liked onto the sketchbook. Now it looks way nicer and I feel more relaxed about it! Let's end sketchbook incinsistency frustration!

This is my first time watching your videos and I am IMMEDIATELY INSPIRED! I use to copy(with respect)/draw all the time (I thought I was the best knees) but over the last few years, I have not been able to draw as much as I would like and I'm feeling rusty. Do you have maybe a specific online class where I can learn how to draw noses, mouths, faces in anime style or drawing right proportions as well? I once really loved drawing but put it away for 2 years now cause I find it so frustrating that I couldn't find an proper way yet to learn how to draw proportions surely and the whole other stuff when drawing. What helped you the most? I also thought about doing an graphic design education just cause I'm so lost and have no Idea where to start lol I really want go back on drawing but you know don't want these strange unrealistic proportions where the nose isn't on the right spot etc. Thank you so much I really fell in love with your art style

I think it's good to start from the fundamentals (studying from real life/real people) then work your way towards stylizing, Chris Hong has a great portrait drawing course on Skillshare. Otherwise I remember Pypah has a "How I Draw Faces" video over on her KZbin channel which is another place to start :)
