Sketchbook tour and a little talk about video comments and youtube studio analytics. Go where the data takes you, ignore the comments.
The digital marketer side of me is always paying attention to data and analytics. The artist side of me just wants to create and not care what others think. The interesting part of this is that when I create what I THINK people want to see (based on dumb comments), I am not being authentic and true to myself as an artist. Plus, it's no fun.
Regardless of the comments I get on my videos, the data tells another story. That story it is telling, is that when I create what I want, the way I want to, my subscriber count increases. Subscribers are important on KZbin, because that is how you increase your reach. My goal this year is 1000 subscribers. I'll keep plugging along and putting myself out there, as awkward as it is (any introvert would agree), I'm doing it.

The ones that make harsh comments either, they don't have any skills and are jealous, or they are entitled snobs who think the are above everyone. They're just losers in their own mind and see the world as themselves. Keep the good work, l love your rare style.

Great work! I love your use of color. My fave is the lady with the bird. Love that chubby lil bird! I'm learning that art isn't just about fundamentals and rules, but expression and mark making. I have drawings that aren't say proportional but have a fun shape or movement to them. Just be free and enjoy! ❤

You have to remember art is not something you can define. 'One man's junk is another man's treasure' they say. Don't let someone tell you your art isn't good. If you like it there are other people out there who like it also. The best part about art is the process of creativity it takes to create it no matter what style you're in. I tend to be overly critical of my art, seeing the flaws. But I am working on just enjoying the process, not worrying about the result, and seeing the beauty in every piece even the mess ups. Keep creating what you love! ❤ Ignore the bad comments. Sometimes people leave bad comments just because they are unsure of themselves and have low self-esteem.

@chuckjines67 yes that is true as well. But sometimes art creates a feeling or emotion even if it is not traditionally “beautiful”.

@chuckjines67are there any famous artists who you think have ugly art? Not all art is considered beautiful or even fits the standard of beauty and yet still is compelling. Thanks for commenting have a great day.

@chuckjines67 I enjoy when people show their not so good stuff as well. It shows that we all have pieces that don't turn out as well. And sometimes it's those pieces that help me improve the most. But also you shouldn't expect people to be wowed by it. But there's nothing wrong with putting it out there. Some people will enjoy it.

@chuckjines67 Yep! Totally see what you're saying. I agree! I never try to say my art is professional or anything. Sometimes it's just sketching in the mountains that makes me happy!
