Sketchbook Tour: My Summer and Autumn 2023 Watercolor Journals

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing with you my 5th and 6th sketchbooks that I filled up in 2023! Please watch the video until the end for loads of inspirations and to see how I have improved over the past year.
🎨 Sketchbooks and Materials I used:
- Etchr Mix Media A4 Landscape Sketchbook
- Sailor's Fude fountain pen 40 degree nib
- Noodler's brown ink #41
- Mungyo watercolors
- Holbein Water Brush (large tip)
- Holbein water brush (medium tip)

Wow! These sketch books are a great way to record where you’ve been and what you’ve done. Wish I had got into sketching a long time ago. I’ve just started sketching at the age of 64🤷🏻‍♂️. Not that good yet, but hopefully many years of sketching to go. Thanks for sharing these with us.

So inspiring, and I love how you sketch life, with the mundane and beautiful in each piece. I'm very new to sketching & watercolours (at 73) , and I find myself seeing the details wherever I go. And it's thanks to you! Seeking beauty in the mundane. Thank you, Becky. I'm looking at the Mungyo watercolours too. I've been doing small pictures in a sketchbook of terrible paper (bought before I knew better) using kuretake paints. They're quite pastel.

I love your pages Becky. So bright and nuanced colours, so much detail and yet feeling so spacious. Fantastic job! I am curious what kind of sketchbook you are using? It sounds like heavy weight paper when you turn the pages and large landscape format.

Dear Becky, I like the way you sketch very much as well as your courage to sketch in public. Only I often feel your sky blue (turquoise?) and light green a bit unnatural. Thank you for your concern! I appreciate your comment. While it may seem like I indulge in sugary foods every day, it's actually not the case. I'm mindful of my diet and make sure to balance my meals. Painting and sharing food art is a passion of mine, and I enjoy capturing the beauty of different cuisines. Over the past two years, I've focused on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and have even lost 10 pounds in the process. I believe in moderation and listening to my body. Rest assured, I prioritize my health and well-being. Thanks again for reaching out!
