The man inspired Ramos, Young, Herrera and many more who triumphed in the USA and paradoxically for him, the father of all that style, he was rejected a lot in that market. Carlos continues to be missed here in Argentina and in the places where he is appreciated. Thanks for this video! Greetings from Argentina

Cybersix as a cartoon and later the comic was integral to not only the development of my artistic journey but the shaping of my personal identity as well, so it's wonderful to see the man responsible for so much of my childhood be given his flowers for the massive impact he had in the form of this book. RIP GOAT.

@Icarlyfan44 Well as a transgender man, growing up I had never seen a character like Cybersix before in media. She lived a double life as the opposite gender because her true identity would not be accepted due to circumstances out of her control. Although her character was not transgender I greatly admired how resilient she was and kept her attitude towards life in the back of my mind as I grew older and encountered similar difficulties in the real world.

I met Carlos several times, wen to visit his studio, and had great talks. He was a master. Humble. And FUNNY AF. I was crushed when he passed, we are lucky he left some good stuff as his legacy.

Ironically Meglia's Star Wars is my favourite Star Wars comic. It is how I discovered this genius of an artist. Such a shame he passed away so early.
@Sketchcraft21 күн бұрын
Yeah, I hear you on that. Meglia's take on Star Wars is top-notch and definitely my favorite too. It's tight competition with Olivier Vatine’s ‘Heir to the Empire’ and Hisao Tamaki's adaptation, for sure. They all rock the Star Wars universe with their unique, bold cartooning styles. But Meglia gets the edge in my book because he brought something totally original to the table. Such a massive loss when he passed; the dude was seriously talented.

@@tapinewoods3937 Carlos Meglia’s Superman in Infinite City is my top pick. The vivid coloring and complete evolution make it stand out. And Star Wars Underworld? It’s my favorite for traditional inks and layouts, I just wish he'd colored it himself.

Cybersix is brilliant and probably his best work. Much of this stuff is way out of control and loses any sense of form, easy to happen with highly stylized art.
