Hey Andrew! I was busy for the last few weeks, almost months, so I'll binge what you prepared for us this weekend. Can not wait, your videos give me such a solace in the darkest of days! Anywho, best channel I ever subscribed to, thank you so much! All the best, all the love from Poland

Amazing, how all children are alike....the minute you tell them not to do something, there's nothing better for them than just do exactly the same thing you told them not to.😂 Since it wasn't me, who got that treatment, I think it's very cute 😂 love your sketch, amazing, how you can judge the right value straight away ( or was the pulling of hair out and tantrums edited out? Just kidding) I thought, it is necessary to have several pots of prepared values of the ink, because it dries so fast, it looks like that's not the only way. Love your artwork, wish I were somewhere closer to the place of your upcoming exhibition, that would be a fine feast for the eyes! 👍

Well done, tricky stuff to use! When you showed it from a distance looked like a black and white photo.

What works with ink is carbon pencil - it doesn't take too well on top of the ink, but while it's still wet it works with it, and you can add touches beyond the ink, as it were, when it's dry - because with a little bit of clean water, you can get the pencil to the consistency of ink. I bet you know that perfectly well already, but wanted to have a play with graphite sticks ... you'll know that conté crayon works as well.

Nice sketch Andrew… made life tricky for yourself, with the Indian ink! Looking forward to my annual art trip to Caradoc at the end of September, from where we look out towards ‘the Rumps’. Will your exhibition be on between 27th Sept and 4th October? I checked the gallery website but couldn’t see the dates for your exhibition. Best wishes, Mick.

Hi Andrew, I’ve just been reading the October edition of the Artist (why it’s not called the August or September edition escapes me [delivered 14th August]). I notice that you’ve been interviewed and will feature in “next month’s” edition… looking forward to reading that! Thanks for sharing your love of outdoor sketching/painting with us… it’s much appreciated. Mick. 😊
