thanks for the video reassured me. I'm about to do a start up on my 2010 600 E tech that sat for a long time with only 1200 km I think I'm ready to press the start button.

Great job! That steering column chuck looks challenging, but you guys did great. Those are great sleds and only low mileage too. I have an unheard of 24,000 miles on my 600 eTec without an engine rebuild. If you look after them, they last.

For a few Northern dudes which have never worked on Sleds before; you did quite well. However, I would have certainly replaced the Fuel Filter on each machine. Those are WIX Filters and can be purchased at many local Auto Part stores for under $10. Simply remove the (2) Oetiker Clamps, replace the filter and install new clamps. Perhaps I will see you fellas on the Trails up around Old Forge and Inlet. I ride a 2011 Ski Doo XRS 800 Etec.

I believe I saw an Arctic Cat sticker on Ski Doo ??? That’s just wrong . Wow, the second one started right up after 7 years with just changing the fuel…. Awesome. Hope they work out well for you and keep running strong.

Yes, you saw Renata cat sticker. Someone put it on as a joke and we decided to just keep it there lol. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I would have thought the carborator jet would have been clogged with the old gas. Glad the snow machines started up so quickly.

Their fuel injected and I didn’t wanna touch anything if I didn’t have to! So glad it worked out OK. Lol

if snowmobile never was started with that bad gas how would it get clogged it was sitting for 7 years . last time it was started that gas was good gas .

Yep, leaving gas in a tank for that many years, turns into quite the cleanup job. That gas sure looked nasty and probably didn’t even smell like gas anymore.

You’re right! It didn’t smell right at all 👍

Those are really nice sleds to be sitting for so long. Why where they left sitting?
@CreatingASimplerLifeOffGrid2 жыл бұрын
Due to a variety of reasons such as no snow for trails to be open, illness, injuries, etc. it’s amazing how quickly time can pass!

15:46 no way! I just got one the other day for $12. I change them every other year. There is an interchange number and you can get it at any auto parts usually I get it at napa.
@CreatingASimplerLifeOffGrid10 ай бұрын
I would be interested in a link please because when I was looking into it you had to buy the whole assembly because it has special clamps because of the high pressure and it was sold as one unit. These machines are fuel injected.
@technerdy10 ай бұрын
@@CreatingASimplerLifeOffGrid also, if you’re concerned about the clamps you can install the same single ear crimp ones you just have to cut them off each time lol

Hmmm, its only been sitting 7 years and they were only 2 and 5 years old when you last used them. Why remove the tank to drain it? Even with 30 year old sleds I find that siphoning usually works just fine. I run 3 ZX chassis MXZs from 99 thru 03 and I just picked up an old 94 Mach 1. I am not removing the tank unless the tanks internal lines are rotted. Also, did you even consider rolling it over on its back and emptying the tank that way?

a lot of work for nothing, well I guess it made for a good video but you could have just syphoned out the tank and added fresh fuel, replace battery and everything would have been good lol

Should've just siphoned the gas and filled with fresh premo instead of pulling the tank.
