The way the Ace came out vs the Etec looked like new studs vs worn out trail crap. Both hook equally I would think the Turbo would have to run him down.

No etec hooked well too. 900 ace had a slightly better traction but it was not a factor. Most rcses were 4 plus lengths difference. That etec us modified and eats stockers for breakfast... Stock etec would get destroyed by stage 1 TD tuned 900 ace turbo. But obviously it's 190 plus hp and very torquey. The owner tried the 900 ace turbo after the race his exact comment was.... I would have never raced you if I had driven the sled before .this thing pulls very hard and very even constant pull.

My 1992 Jag Special did 88 miles an hour at a radar run. Completely stock motor, which was a fan-cooled 440. It had 11,000 miles on it when the odometer quit, sold it about a year later in 98 for $1100. Thing was never rebuilt but needed ut.. I beat the crap out of that thing, but someone decided they wanted to pay $1100 for it...lol. only cat I've ever had that hasn't left me on the trail, besides my 1974 Panther. Go figure.

stock the 900 turbo makes lass than the 850 and the 850 will beat it all day. TD is showing that their tunes adds a good amount of power to the 900 turbo. you are acting like this is the same power plant and adding a turbo makes it unfair. The 900 N/A makes way way less than the 850.

@@traxxasracer3 the 90hp non turbo engine is not the same engine as the one that comes stock with turbo. It's made for fuel economy and reliability. Not max hp.

@@vectraB97 Exactly, it's a weird sled to race. The 600 and 900 Aces did well for mileage, really well. Kind of like putting a Turbo in my Camry

@@heatmoon the 900 ace non turbo edition run great on utility/work sleds. It pulls harder than 600 e-tec on low rpm. Super reliable and sneaky silent. The fuel economy is amazing.

I don't get how they haven't really made stock sleds go any faster since like the 1980's. 110 mph was a thing back then. Here we are nearly 40 years in the future and there is no new clutch tech that allows a stock sled to go faster. Sleds have more HP then ever out of the box. What's the issue here.

Most people doesn't care about top speed anymore including myself since the 90's. Nowadays everyone want to have agility and acceleration with a HUGE track compared to that shit back in the days. That take some horsepower spin around to manage to climb and carving. Lake racing is a dead thing for the majority all snowmobile riders who are up to date so to speak, think that is the "issue"....

I think the speedo wasn't as accurate back then as it is today. Also the 3 cylinder motors had more lungs on them compared to the torque of the 2 cylinder sleds today. Today's sled just needs a gear swap to get them up to the 120-140 mph. Just my 2 cents!

Maybe you should tell people what a stage 1 means, its not just good gas. A bit more. Put up another brands turbo and watch this 900 turbo get slaughtered. But, do we really have to wonder who you are working for with "Turbo Dynamics Canada". Sorry, Arctic, Polaris 850, and the Yamaha turbo will make this little girl look foolish on the lake. Likely even a stage 1 F7.
