If I remember correctly, the lead singer Sebastian Bach, was a classically trained singer... and he was pretty 😄

Oh, and so so kind. I met him when I was 21
@dmc99076 ай бұрын
He did vocals & character on Broadway for playwright Jekyll & Hyde. Saw him live in 1994 at local bar. Had seen him Prior at sold out stadium. He was just as amazing at small dive bar as he was in sold out stadium. While his vocals are soprano, his abilities in that arena are underrated.

One of my favorite songs and videos since it came out in 89 when I was 4 years old
@cristyrawks63252 жыл бұрын
After all these many years, I still get choked up over that video. Try "Uncle Tom's Cabin" by Warrant for a story. BTW, I am a lover of rock and R&B having grown up in the 60s and 70s with Led Zeppelin and Motown and being in an inner city school, there was such a mixture of cultures that there was no differentiating of genres. I love your critique of this powerful message.

Uncle Tom's cabin... Excellent. Also Skid Row The Threat. Once you make your mark you've made a threat to society. You will love it!

If I remember correctly this song was inspired by true events. I could be mistaken but I remember the headlines that inspired this song back then. Definitely do more Skid Row. Youth Gone Wild is my favorite of theirs.

I've head that the background of this song is real news story in a local newspaper where 18-year-old boy had shot his friend with a gun, thinking the gun was not loaded, and apparently had also shot his father, and was sentenced to life imprisonment Usually a person like this who ends up on the street ends up with various criminal gangs, as happened with Nicky Cruz who was the leader of the infamous Mau Mau gang, today he is a preacher to prove how he got free
@carlreddinger97072 жыл бұрын
Yeah definitely a message here Ricky came from a bad family starting drinking playing around with them guns and in a split second killed his friend and ruined his life and now he basically has the rest of his life to think about it. That’s how quick things can happen that have long lasting consequences so basically think things through to their conclusion before you act and regret that decision for the rest of your life. That’s real life shit they’re talking about

My favorite thing about Sebastian Bach is that he’s a HUGE Rush fanboy ☺️

Definitely you should do more Skid Row. The lead singer Sebastian Bach has one of the best voices. Check out Wasted Time. He wrote the song about his best friend who was the drummer for Gun's and Rose's who got hooked on heroin. It's a powerful song and Bach's vocals are phenomenal. Subscribed to your channel tonight.

I knew kids who spent their lives in jail. That's what happens when there's nothing to believe in and nobody cares about them. Our youth needs to be loved and shown compassion instead of being abused by their families and the prison system. This song brings back mixed memories for me.

Ayy, sick. "I Remember You" is a good one too. For bands that would be cool to react to: -PUP (literally all of their songs are perfect, and they're releasing a new album in a few days!) -The Smashing Pumpkins (another absolutely great band. Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie are must-listen albums) -The White Stripes (another endless banger band)

I bet you didn't know you're watching the edited version, did you? The original shows the guy spray painting a smiley face in the bldg they were in, with a bloodshot in its forehead, with red paint dripping down. MTV refused to play it anymore unless they took it out of the video.

Skid Row was the voice for the young in the 80's. They sang about all of the experiences we went through at the hands of others as well as the damage we did to ourselves because we didn't have a direction showing us a way out of the cycles we learned from the people who didn't protect us. You really aren't rebelling when you can't go home if you want to live. Some of us got lucky and found a way out. No Russian roulette for me

I wonder why Skid Row has been through like 6 different lead singers since they started up? Is it because the lead singer can't get along with the two guys who started the group
