Skid Row - I Remember You (Guitar Cover)

Another classic from Skid Row that showcases Sebastian's incredible range, and it also has some killer guitar work in it too. This was a song that I was going to do years ago but I always had a bit of a problem figuring out certain parts of the solo. Well luckily for me, Scotti Hill made a KZbin video going over how he plays the solo which is really cool ( • Scotti Hill I Remember... ). I still end up playing a certain descending lick in my own way as it's similar to one in Leppard's White Lightning, which I spent a long time building muscle memory for, so my hands couldn't quite switch to Scotti's style. Really fun song and I had a blast learning it.

I use a Jackson Dk2 into a Boss Me50 into a Palmer Pdi-09 into a Focusrite Scarlet into my Mac running Logic Pro X

When I was a teenager, 13 or 14, self-taught keyboard player, I used to record my ‘covers’ as the genuine songs played (1980’s metal - pop) and record them on another cassette dubbed together, and a mate of mine took a recording to play to his Dad who was a cabaret pianist as I wanted lessons - he listened to over half an hour of riffs and backing strings or choirs etc before turning to his son, my mate (I wasn’t there btw) and said “Do you know what makes his playing stand out so much, and fit note perfectly - he’s not playing anything from the songs, he’s not copying anything from them, he’s playing along with them and improvising missing parts, now
