It didn't destroy his voice later. He still got it.
@elyems6 ай бұрын
@@theironfox2756 Sorry, I don't know how much you understand about singing and vocal techniques, but you need to know that he can no longer do it in the same high tone with the same intensity, sustaining the high notes for so long. He already needed a break from some songs in the 90s and I saw it live in Brazil. And it's something natural. Axel Rose can't do it anymore either because it's too difficult. The level he managed to reach in his voice was already absurd and insane for that time, even though he was young. Try screaming and sustaining your scream for 6 to 8 seconds, then try doing this at least 8 more times in a 2-hour period and then analyze how your breathing will be. What he can do is still sing in the high notes, but his songs are in minor keys and you can see that he no longer stretches the notes, he just goes to the tone and comes back. In other words, for certain notes he can reach the peak, he just does one beat and return, whereas before he was able to demonstrate all his power by sustaining the highest notes for longer than normal. You can see two examples on Sebastian's own new channel, what I'm saying: SEBASTIAN BACH - What Do I Got To Lose? (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO) kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKi1fah9bNmUnsU SEBASTIAN BACH - (Hold On) To The Dream (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO) kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHeaYmewntV0aK8 These guys made history, what they did was beautiful and for that alone they deserve respect, so I will never think it's bad if I don't see them achieving such reach in a show today, because I know how difficult what they managed to do in the past is.

I know what it was like because they came here to my country Brazil and it was certainly one of the biggest and best audiences he had. Even so, there were many depreciations about them and their rock style and of course, also wanting to say that he was a gay man singing, which at that time prejudice was greater and there was not as much repression of political correctness as there is today. Here the guys from Guns had more critical appreciation than the guys from Skid Row.

In a Darkened Room by SKID ROW In a darkened room Beyond the reach of God's faith Lies the wounded, the shattered remains of love betrayed And the innocence of a child is bought and sold In the name of the damned The rage of the angels left silent and cold Forgive me please for I know not what I do How can I keep inside the hurt I know is true Well tell me when a kiss of love becomes a lie That bears the scar of sin too deep To hide behind this fear of running unto you Please let there be light In a darkened room All the precious times have been put to rest again And the smile of the dawn Brings tainted lust singing my requiem Can I face the day when I'm tortured in my trust And watch it crystallize While my salvation it crumbles to dust Why can't I steer the ship before it hits the storm I've fallen to the sea but still I swim for shore Tell me when a kiss of love becomes a lie That bears the scar of sin too deep To hide behind this fear of running unto you Please let there be light In a darkened room

Every line of the lyrics for this song is like a poem unto itself. The lyrics are just so deep, and this live performance is so powerful. I mentioned something similar in a previous comment, but just imagine being on stage and feeling everything in that moment, syncing with the audience as they sync with you and the song, all in perfect powerful harmony. The ultimate experience of expression, flowing out and then ebbing back in. One day, my friend. One day...
@IYOU4 жыл бұрын
I don’t know what exactly did you mean by saying “one day”. But I feel you just like explained my dream, yes, it’s definitely my dream and big fear in the same time. Sometimes I feel that it’s so real but many of this moments has a negative results. You know, My KZbin channel has a purpose, I wanna see how it’s growing and finally present myself - create new original content and show my old creations (like my songs from the past). But instead of growth I see how activity on the channel falling, how ppl unsubscribe, and how other similar channels has crazy high activity in case that they don’t actually do anything special. And I feeling sad and down. I don’t wanna do everything as possible to run after numbers. But I doing work (spend so much time..) and of course I want result. Thank you for always watching me and give me your feedback, it means a lot, I’m like not alone.
@jimpayne95454 жыл бұрын
@@IYOU I say "one day" because I still have the ambition of experiencing that myself one day, and I can tell you want that for yourself. You seem to be working toward that goal, because I know just from things you've mentioned here and there that you have done some demo work and you are trying to find some musicians that sync with you to do music. Plus, you just have that natural talent, so it wouldn't surprise me at all to see a video of you on stage one day, and then seeing other people reacting to YOUR music and videos. I mean that, by the way. 🙂 We tend to be our own worst critics, especially when we are comparing ourselves to others, but there's always going to be others doing better, even if that success is underserved -- but there's also always people doing worse. I think you've only been doing this for about 6 months so far, and you already have 7000 subscribers, and I've seen your subscriber numbers go up by about 1,000 just over the past month. That's very impressive to me. Growth is always slow at first, then it happens exponentially, through social media, and I think just in life in general. There are several people I have followed over the past couple of years on KZbin that built a very gradual following, but then all of a sudden, a few of their videos went viral and their subscription numbers just exploded within a few weeks. You are doing great work, and I hope you don't get discouraged with your workout videos even though I know people are being unnecessarily rude with those in particular, but the vast majority of the comments for all of your videos seem to be really positive? Please don't let the occasional negative comment or the unfair and disproportionate success of others discourage you, you are a very creative and inspiring person doing great work with your channel, and I feel like it is just a stepping stone to your bigger dreams, so to reflect back advice you've given me -- don't give up. I just wrote this down the other day, but it seems perfect here: We are our dreams, inspiring to either become the best of them or languishing in the nightmare of unfulfillment. Reach for the sky, and dream big, but then reach for those dreams with action rather than just wishes and dreams. Your actions define reality. Side note, but still related to all of this, I've lost 5 pounds in the past week, walking and running 5 to 10 miles a day and working out hard and being very selective in what I eat, and it's hard but it pays off. Some days it doesn't seem like it's doing much, then a couple of days later, I see a big result, so we don't always see our success in the moment, sometimes we see it afterward. I feel like maybe you're beating yourself up a bit too hard because you're not seeing the success you wanted as quickly as you had hoped, but I hope you'll believe me when I tell you that looking at things from the sidelines -- you are doing great!
@jimpayne95454 жыл бұрын
That last comment was so long, but I meant every word, but just to share a concrete example... I started following a guy named Chris Turner about a year ago here on KZbin, he will take five or six suggestions at a time from an audience, any suggestions they give about anything, and then he will rap about them with freestyle rap, on the spot, and then he even ties different ideas together, and he's a genius at it and also very funny. For the longest time, he slowly went from 20,000 subscribers to 30,000, then people started finding out about him and sharing his videos, and just over the past six months or so, he's gone from 30,000 subscribers to 241,000. As you get more subscribers, it will be inevitable that you will get a few additional negative comments here and there, a certain percentage of subscribers are just going to be trolls and jerks, but don't let them discourage you. You are building an amazing channel, and I thank you for the inspiration I get on my end from your videos and your comment replies!
@IYOU4 жыл бұрын
Thank you, I’m so glad for you doing your exercises! It’s really not that easy especially with result). Yes, you right - many ppl unsubscribed me just because I’m not doing only reactions. I’m not gonna give up or compare myself with anyone else, but it’s still necessary to do analysis of your work - and it’s include comparing with similar channels. And I just got an answer why my videos not so popular like others. (To be exact I have my channel for 4 months BUT I have this account on KZbin like email - for 4 years, and because of that KZbin rank me as old non active channel, and If I would have mine like fresh one - it would be different algorithm. So, I’m thinking about creating a new channel and deleting this, but of course it’s risky and maybe too emotional).
@jimpayne95454 жыл бұрын
@@IYOU People are dumb. I don't know how else to say it! If they just want to watch your music reaction videos, they should just watch those, rather than be negative because you are also including videos of other things on your channel. People can be so one-dimensional, then they try to punish others for not being the same way, I think? That's weird that the KZbin algorithm considers your channel as being inactive? If you do open a new channel, please let followers like myself know how to keep track of you! I'm going to try to get set up on Instagram this weekend, by the way, so I can also follow you and any channels of yours that way. I'm not brave enough to post videos of myself working out not yet, but I might use Instagram to post some photos of my own progress. So yeah, people and KZbin algorithms just don't make sense sometimes, and sometimes they're just plain dumb, but don't let that ever diminish your own sparks of creativity and genuineness! That's what makes your channel so unique, you're really putting yourself out there, so it's going to hurt more when people criticize you, but I hope you never change that. It's those things that make you and your channel something kind of special. (Voice-to-text keeps getting a few things wrong, that's why I'm editing these comments real quick after I post them.)
